I have some great news for European players! Our marketing group, in conjunction with our European marketing team, has arranged to run the Shroud of Shadows promotion in Europe as well, through European retailers, under the same rules as the American and Canadian promotion. Keep in mind the dates will be different, since the release date there is later than the American date.
I don’t have the exact info right now, such as the specific retailers, the specific dates, etc, but we’re still working on that and we’ll get it to you as soon as possible. Remember that since the release date in the UK isn’t until the 28th, pre-ordering won’t start there until a couple weeks before that. We’ll be updating all the info and FAQs on the site soon, but I thought y’all would want to know now, rather than wait for us to go through and edit all the documentation. (In other words, please don’t point out yet that our FAQs and promo info on the site doesn’t reflect the European promotion – we’ll fix that first thing next week. But feel free to point out anything we’ve missed by Tuesday or so.)
The promotion itself will not be offered in Australia, but Oceania players do have an option to pre-order AoS from Gamestop if they want to get the Hooded Shroud on any shard with the exception of the Japanese shards. (And yes, I actually checked Gamespot myself to make sure they shipped to Australia before posting this time!)
Please note that the Japanese shards are having their own, separate promotion, and are not participating in the Hooded Shroud of Shadows giveaway. This means that the Japanese GMs will not be handing out Hooded Shroud of Shadows on the Japanese shards, even if you have a valid code from a box bought in the States, Canada, or Europe. You’ll still be able to get a shroud with those codes – just not on Japanese shards.
