Serpents Hold has never been the most secure of places to live, the constant flow of evil creatures from the dungeon Fire keeps the citizens and towns guards on their toes.
The goodly folk of the realm though have never paid Serps much attention...isolated as it is and surrounded by swamps it lacks the appeal of a city such as Moonglow...
Maybe that why the Council of Darkness decided to make it their own.
The attack came without warning and was vicious and well executed, hordes of Orks, undead, evil men and a handful of Drow over powered what defenders could be mustered with ease.
What followed was hell for the surviving residents as zombies roamed the streets feeding on the flesh of the living and Drow patrols played sadistic torture games with any who were unlucky enough to be chosen, the screams could be heard for miles around the city and the smell of death accompanied it.
The good folk of our realm could not stand for this...they formed an alliance SDP, Sworn Defenders of the People and amassed an army that would free the city of Serps from its cruel, evil rulers.
The brave warriors of the people marched on the city full of confidence pride...the defence of the city by the Council of Darkness was masterful, the forces of good were ambushed and seperated into killing zones where they were slaughtered by all manner of Evil creature, sorely outnumbered by the forces of good, Evil prevailed again and so the people of Serps have continued to live in fear where torture, death and slavery have now become a way of life.

The Sworn Defenders of the People have finished licking their wounds, plans are being formulated to sweep the battle hardened minions of evil from the city once and for all, and return some sort of life to those who have seen and witnessed such horrors that even death would be welcomed.

The Sworn Defenders are mustering a mighty force and the call has reached Darkstone, the battle will be vicious make no mistake...many brave young warriors will fall to evil, but Good will prevail on the day....It must...or forever will the screams of the tormented souls of Serpents Hold feature in the nightmares of all Oceania.
