In reply to: Synergy Blaize 's message, "In Loving Memory of our Treasured Friend Lockie" on Sat, Nov 02 2002, 03:25am

When I first started playing UO Lockie was one of the first characters I met. We trained our young characters together smiling and laughing. As time wore on we found each other doing countless favours for each other. When one called help the other came running. His actions were always noble and selfless.

Matt was probably my greatest online friend. There were very contacts on my ICQ list that could have had such an impact had I recieved this message from them, the one labled Lockie was one. When I first got the message from his family I didn't want to believe it. I sat there stunned, just hoping it was some cruel prank. Life however is much crueler.

I will miss our friend Lockie. I will miss hunting with him. I will miss training with him. I will miss trading with him. I will miss role playing with him.
Most of all I will miss just sitting and chatting with him when I didn't feel like doing anything else.

It's his family I feel worst for. Losing such a true friend cannot compare to lossing a true brother, husband or son. I hope they find nothing but support and comfort in this time of trouble. Matt died traveling to do what he believed in. I'm quite sure he died happy.

Lockie set a shining example. He showed what a true friend can be. He was loved and will be missed by us all. His passing is a true loss.
