*Shawna threw back her head, a deep peircing cry echoing all around her* No this can not be true, it must be some cruel sick joke, she thought, as her eyes frantically searched for someone to tell her everything would be alright. Deep in her heart she knew it was true, though she could not yet admit it.*
*Standing so suddenly her stool toppled over backwards into the fireplace, yet not caring or stopping to move it, she ran out the doors of the tavern into the woods sourounding Sanctuary. Tears bluring her vision, streaking down her face. Caring not where she ran, only wishing to outrun the deamons that were pursuing her.*
*Finally she sunk to the ground in exhaustion. pulling her knees up tight against her, her arms wrapped tightly around them, her dress torn and covered with leaves and twigs, from her mad dash through the woods. Silently she sat there crying.*
*As she sat there, the memories came, silently, softly. Like old friends come to comfort her, in her time of need.*
First to come was the story Sable told her of the time in desert near Kenders, when all were out either mining or guarding the miners, and Sable took it into her head that Leithalien, an elf friend of the guild and Shawna would make a nice couple. So she talked Feanor into helping her in her crazy scheme as she proceded to tell him of this wild elf friend of hers, who she felt needed "taming".
Second to come was the memory of her first meeting with the elf she had come come to call "Melamin" *my love*. Standing on the balcony overlooking the floor of the Counsellors Hall in Serpents Hold, watching the mighty drakes battle against one another. Arriving late to the event, she made her way around the battleing drakes and climbed the stairs with Helm to watch the ending. Once there, her eyes kept wandering to the elf standing a few feet from her, unable to concentrate on what was happening below them. Finally the last battle had been fought. Almost meekly, she stood behind Helm as he talked with the elf, hoping for an introduction, but not daring to ask for one. This feeling of meekness, being something totally strange to her. Finally as if suddenly remembering she were there, Helm introduced her to him. She knew then, as sure as if the godess herself had spoken to her, that her destiny lay with this elf.
Following closely behind came another memory, one of the first time she dared to lightly kiss his cheek, as he was leaving for the eve, and the smile so warm and caring she saw on his face and in his eyes, when she dared to look.
Next came the time, when as she turned to kiss his cheek in farewell for the evening, he turned and thier lips met for the first time. The thrill that ran through her as their lips met, in that brief, tender kiss.
Soon she was remembering all the times they had hunted together with the guild, and all the times she called out to him "Dont run! I cant heal you if you do, silly elf." This brought a small smile to her face, as the memories of all the times flowed together.
The memories continued to flow around her, wrapping her in their warmth till finally came the one most recent, when he had lovingly placed upon her wrist the braclete of binding, the one which would instantly transport her to him, no matter where he was or he to her. The braclete she still
wore, that he had had engraved with the word "A'maelamin" *my beloved*. Although it could no longer instantly take her to him, or him to her, she knew he would always be with her in spirit.
*Slowly she brought the braclete to her lips, as she placed a tender, loving kiss over the word engraved there, she whispered to the wind* "Quel esta, A'melamin. Tenna'ento ye omenta." *So saying, she lay where sat, resting her head on her arms, as sleep finally over came her*

OOC: Last night we lost a very dear friend, one who shall live on in our hearts always. One who will be greatly missed by all. His passing has left a great emptyness in those who knew him, not only here in the world of UO, but everywhere. My thoughts go out to his family and friends, in this time of great tradgedy. Remember him well, for he was a kind and caring man.

Rest well, dear friend. You shall always be with me, in my thoughts and in my heart.
