For those not aware, one of our villagers was scammed out of a prime piece of real estate known as the Darkstone Spellfire Museum, situated next to the healers room at the crossroads below Darkstone.
I know I shouldnt have to say this, but, NEVER and I mean NEVER trust anyone ingame with property or possesions. Trading has several safeguards for proper trading .. it may cost a little extra ingame and take a little longer but is a 10 million gold piece tower worth the extra effort ? I think so .. Please be so careful when trading. The only exception I would make would be when trading with those we know and trust within our guild. For the heads up, the offender was from SoE and named Tual Masok, Wizard. Be aware, if on the market for things, of this name.

Now one other thing I wanted to mention, although I know I really dont need to. Recruitment. We have for a long time now been fairly selective of accepting new members. This is a great thing and has probably saved us a lot of heart ache. Anyone wishing to become a member of our guild will now go on a one month probation. They will need to be sponsored by a standing member, who has known them ingame for some time at least. A minimum of four nights with at least one standing member per week of probation, with a note from each member who spent time with them posted to this forum for all to acknowledge. If a week goes by while someone is on probation with no posts from current members about them, they either start probation again or find another guild. I do not want scum like this Tual Masok slipping through to our guild and creating a crap storm like we have never seen. If I sound a little tough .. tough.

One last thing, concerning the scammer and SoE above. Blayre, GM of SoE, did make an appology of sorts from SoE. ON THEIR MESSAGE BOARD ! No attempt was made to contact myself or the guild via ICQ or thier message board. I know if one of you were to do something similar (and I know you wouldnt) I would be bowing and scraping my butt all over the place to all involved trying to set things right.. Until such time as we do, I say we boycott any ORPA events that SoE are involved in.

Oh, and welcome back Lockie .. we missed ya's :)
