I really love that song as well. When I first heard it, I remember thinking something like "this band is open-minded enough to go in any direction it damn well pleases." U2's need and ability to explore different emotions and landscapes of sound is something I really admire and think is necessary for an artist to keep growing. For me, that song (and others such as Walk to the Water) is a reminder that U2 is depthless.
