This is arguable, however. Many theists believe in the combination of free will and determinism. I would guess that flannel will be one of them, since from what I've read of him, he's a Catholic, and the Catholic Church holds onto this view. At least Aquinas did, in reference to reconciling God's omniscience and the free will of man. This is the reason I denied free will in the first place, because I think the universe is taking a deterministic path. And I couldn't see how the two could be reconciled.
