I always took that line as comparing the ego of some of the "holier than thou" Christian fundamentalist types with the ego of those macho men who found their self-worth upon the size of their member. If you've ever seen the Mormon Tabernacle just outside Washington DC (or any resonably-sized medieval cathedral) this actually makes a good bit of sense.

S'okay, spook, I know this too. Which AUTOMATICALLY makes it okay, dontcha know.
