Hi Kat.I average about 2 hours sleep at night and an hour nap a day EVERY day for about a year now. Exaggeration? Nope. SOoo.....I would like to see that article too. I don't have sleep apnea, and have tried all the suggested remedies (OTC meds included) with no success.I had a girlfriend who was an RN and watched me sleep to see if anything strange happenned before I woke up. Nope. She said I was sleeping peacefully and my eyes just popped open.If I was rich,I would pay a million dollars a year for a medication that would give me 5 straight hours sleep each night. This problem is worse for me than the other nastiness HCV has slapped me with. It flat out sucks. Bri

Tell your doctor that phenagren help with your stomach that you heard, also it is a light non-narcotic sedative. That will help you sleep. I get my Dr. to presribe me 2 every week for when I take my shot. It does help a lot. See if your dr will prescribe you phenegran for nausea.

[> Ambien.... -- Junobear, 07:47:44 04/26/02 Fri (216-220-252-36.midmaine.com/216.220.252.36)

I had a prescription for Ambien on treatment and for about a year thereafter. I had WICKED insomnia before interferon murdered the virus [sleep all day up all night] and it was 10 times worse on treatment.

No hangover from this sleeping pill and it does not trigger urges to drink or use 'cause there is no feeling of being high connected with it.

I have not needed it for two years now since achieving stability in sustained response -- but it was a godsend when I needed it.
