i went to see wigga petes band on saterday so neh.
and were not having a go as such nigel, its just that if its also like the last smash it up, we (us young pups) will have no end of grief off the old skool guys who (like last time) spent most of the afternoon telling us "thats not punk, wearing baseball caps and baggy jeans and trainers, i was there in 77'", jesus, that was more annoying than anything and yes, i also agree with dan that you may have to cater for younger ages, music has to progress, whether it be through generic ska-punk, emo or fastcore. if the punk of the 70's/80's was seen as a way of breaking the mould then, bands now are just trying to do the same thing and too alot of kids now (including myself to a certain degree) listening to old-skool stuff would be like the punks in the 70's listening to led-zepplin and other bloated rock acts at the time, it's dated and, although revolutionary at the time, has been taken over by newer more inventive bands.

my opinion, for once does not insult anyone or have swearing in it.
