"If we can't change them, and if we can't control them, I say we fight them!" Cal mentally shrieked to Al. The stout Grigori frowned and reluctantly nodded. Cal would have smiled if he had a mouth. An agreement was rare between them.

The pair whipped their heads back as rows of seemingly dreadlocks shot out. VertiCal's were long, down to his ankles, but thin and brittle. HorizontAl's, however, were short, not even passing his neck, and thick. Neither ones were adequate for channeling, but both of them knew that.

"Now?

"No, just toss these soldiers aside�save the lightshow for the Agent."

Al gave a swipe of his hand, knocking the soldiers away without touching them, giving disregard to what effect the twisting of the SPUniverse might have. That one move could affect everything...or nothing at all. But there wasn't any time to ponder the matter, as Cal had already started for the Docking Bay.

"Sorry." Al shrugged as he ran after his counterpart.
