Auds drop, head heldlower than usual, curiosity up, though. Why? Why did she show all signs of motherhood, yet no foal followed? And why wouldn't she speak of it? Whatever happened she wouldn't tell. Perhaps he could find out other ways, but he didn't want to risk losing her again, because of his own foolishness.
