* Saddle ships Mal's beautiful bay colt over to BRS for training. he is a bit difficult to load and is nervous about trailering. she makes a mental note to work on that with him. After giving him a few days to settle in to his temporary surroundings, only lightly lounging him, she starts to lounge him with tack. Once he is comfortable with a saddle and bridle, she has Mikki come help her with a few lounging sessions so the colt can get used to him. Finally, the big day comes. Saddle lounges him for a little while, then Mikki takes the reins and leads him to the mounting block. Saddle leans her weight slowly into the saddle. King rears in suprise, then stands still, snorting nervously. Saddle slowly leans over the saddle again and lays on her stomach across the saddle. He dances in place nervously and Mikki talks quietly, soothing the excited colt. After a few minutes, Saddle slowly puts her leg over his back and sits astride him for the first time. Mikki leads them around a few times, then Saddle dismounts and gives King a carrot. then they untack him and turn him out*
