*Calypso*
I finished lunging Calypso & mounted. The big, black stallion was still full of energy.I quickly warmed up Calypso on the flat. After popping Calypso over a few 3'-9" warm-up jumps, I started a 5'-6"-6" jumper course with him.Calypso ended the course at a gallop.I pulled him up to a walk, & gave him a pat. After 1 more course, I walked him out, untacked him & turned him out in his own private paddock. Then I went to get my other Holsteiner stallion, The Winning Touch...
*The Winning Touch*
As I mounted Touch, the bay stallion trumpeted loudly , as if to say, watch me! I gave him a pat & got him to walk on.20 mins. later, after warming him up on the flat & over a few jumps, I decided to do a 5 foot jumper course with him.Touch was an excellent dressage horse, but what he loved most was to jump.Touch did the course great, with a good time, he clipped 1 rail, but that was an accident. Then I dismounted, & put Touch on the hotwalker to cool off after I had untacked him. Then I turned him out after giving him a pat & a horse cookie...
*Fireworks*
Today, I had decided just to take Fireworks on the trails for a relaxing hack.I mounted Fireworks in the stableyard & squeezed him into a walk. After walking down a trail for about 5 minutes, I got Fireworks to trot.I saw a log that was about 3'-6" up ahead, & squeezed Fireworks into a canter after trotting for a while.Fireworks cantered towards the jump & zoomed up & over it, clearing the jump with a foot to spare.I let Fireworks canter on to work off some extra energy. After a while, I slowed him down to a walk, & we walked the rest of the way down the trail, back to Timeless Farm...
*Mr. Wonderful*
I swung into the saddle of a tall, bay, American Warmblood stallion.Wonder started walking right away, as soon as I had my foot in the other stirrup.I quickly warmed him up, then dismounted to lower the hunter course to 2 feet.I cantered Wonder in a courtesy circle, keeping him balanced, & headed him towards the first line.Wonder did excellently through the hunter course, so I did the hunter course with him in the other direction, then walked him out, untacked him, & turned him out in his paddock after giving him an apple...
