I drove back into Shining Meadow Stables, with my large trailer clipped to the back of my truck. After I had parked, I went to the back to take Queenie out. Queenie, a future champion jumper, followed behind me to the crossties. I picked up a hard bristle brush, a curry comb, and a rubber curry comb. Then walked back to Queenie. Softly, I brushed her down with the three brushes, and picked her hoofs too. Then, I walked way down to the taxk room, and picked up her saddle, and her bridle. Queenie was tacked up in no time, and was soon out in the arena, with the girth being tightend on her. "Hey Ashley!" I yelled through the barn. Ashley appeared in the arena. Seeing Queenie she knew I wanted to ride her, and she mounted on. laughed and picked Lisa out of the arena, and dropped her on Anna. Get her going at a nice, easy paced walk!" I called down to Ashley on the other side of the arena. A few minutes later, Quennie was trotting around with Ashley on her back. "Now remember!" I started, "This is a time when I'm supposed to be TRAINING her!" I said to Ashley. "yeah, I know" she mumbled. Ashley warmed her up, by trotting over some trotting poles, amd caveletis. We left off our training at jumping an X last time, so Ashley dismounted, and clipped a lead rope onto Queenie's halter. I watched Ashley lead her over the X (a small one) Queen tended to sniff before she jumped, so we went over it a few more times. After Queen got the feel, and move of it, Ashley mounted her again. Soon, the horse and rider were at the approach, and Queenie jumped over the X with ease. Ashley did it a few more times, and then put some trotting poles in front of it. She tried that, but was nothing new to Queenie. So they worked longer on all the jumps and then took a rest.
