Subject: Working King! Author: Jennifer [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 13:34:54 11/16/02 Sat King was in the stall, waiting to be tacked up. I grabbed the Saddle, listed "Saddle 1" and loaded it on King. King didn't mind at all. So I grabbed his bridle as well, as put that on him easily, except for the fast, that I almost gor the throat latch and the nose band mixed up!lol I brought King out to the arena, and mounted him from there. Then I walked him around the arena, making sure to get lots of exersise. King and I practiclly went around the arena ten times before I let him trot. He managed to stay tought, and trot with me on him. We did mostly posting trot, but I did a 2-point position a couple rounds, and some sitting trot too. I wanted to make sure he could get used to me. I dropped my stirrups. He didn't seem to notice really. So, I slipped the (my) stirrups around my feet again, and posted just a little bit more. I halted him, and told him to walk on! He walked a few times around the arena, and then got really energtic again. So, I sprang him into a canter. He had some same content, as he slowed to a walk. King's exersise was done. WHEW!
