I walked into Shining Meadow Stables, and started to clean some of the saddles and tack. I was FINALLY having the day off of my kids, and speanding a little time with the horses. After I had cleaned most of the tack, and put away the saddle soap, I went to go check on Black Velvet and her foals. Black Velvet was standind in a stall on the broomare side of the barn, with a little black colt standing next to her, and nursing. In the stall next to them, was On My Honor and the other twin. We had decided earlier to name them "Special Velvet and Honored Edition" I walked into the stalls, leaving fresh water and feed for the mares to eat. Then, I weaved in and out of the stalls, collecting the buckets. I filled them with daily feed and water and carried them to each horse's stall two by two. I also tossed in a little hay for each horse. Then, I decided to ride a few horses, so they would get their exercise. Here is what I did.

Rebel
I walked him around the arena, and brought him into a trot. I posted for awhile, and then halted him. Rebel started slowing down, so I used a crop on him while we went back in the trot again. This time, I posted, did a sitting trot and also did a two point position as well. The, I cantered him and flew him over some Xs and double oxers.

Dee-Dee
Walked around the arena on DD, and as usual, it was rather speedy. I posted a little, and did a rocky, and slow canter because DD was growing old. I went over some trotting poles with her, and walked her around the arena before quitting.

Lucky Charms
Walked for a few minutes and trotted around the ring for awhile. I posted and did a sitting trot. I also cantered after I was done, and walked him over some poles on the ground I walked him even some more before dismonting Lucky Charms.

Honor
Walked for about 5 minutes and then started a trot. I did sitting most of the time, but did some posting too. I then cantered alittle, and went over some Xs, gates and fences. I walked around yet some more to get her heart rate down, and then dismounted her.

I walked out to the pasture, and since it was getting cold, I threw a blanket over every horse and brought them inside. I placed the horses into their proper stalls, and then went to clean the rest of the tack. I could hear Sammy and John screaming in the house, but ignored it. This was supposed to be my day off! I once again check on the twins, and then decided to train Flashdance. I dug up an small Englsih saddle, and placed it on a rack in the isle, along with a small bridle that would soon be Flashdance's. I walked into FD's stall, and gave him a sugar cube to show that I was doing no harm. I brushed him down easily, and put the blanket on him. FD had seen other horses being trained before, but I still knew that he wouldn't take it serously. I tried to put the saddle on him, but he reared, causing it to fall to the ground with a THUD. I eased him down, and this time her let me put it on him. I slipped Flashdance's halter off, and hooked it on the door and tried putting his bridle on. He refused alot, and it took about 15 minutes before I got it on him. He walked out to the arena with me, and was just as stubburn with me getting on. When I finally got on, I walked him around a little, but he was going nuts! So, I let him back into his stall for the day, and closed up the stables for now. I walked back into the house. My vacation was over, but I still had a good life!
