I slipped into Memento's stall and lead him outside into the sun. i cross tied him in the stable yard and got out the grooming equiptment. i picked out his hooves and brushed him till he shone. i then saddles himin his eventing gear and mounted. i walked him around the yard until he was calmer and until he was warmed up. i then headed towards the cross country course and canter him in a small cricle. i got him to perform a flying change and then i entred the course, starting my watch. we cantered towards the first fence, a 4" brush fence, he cleared it easily without a thought. we cantered on. the next jump had an unseen ditch on the other side and memento bravely lunged clearing the jump and landed halfway down the ditch without stumbling. we completed the course in record time, flying past the finsh. once again we had no faults! i then trotted him around the outside ring for a while, then walked him until he had cooled. i hosed him down and turned him out into the paddock for the arvo.

Next i entered Crystals stall and groomed her quickly. i saddled her and lead her to the indoor riding ring. i walked her the trootted her in figures, including serpentines, working on changing her diagonals. once again i practiced making her walk backwards.. she is really getting the hang of iot now... then i worked on her flying changes.. just before i turned her out, i workld on her extended walk, trying to get her to take even paces. i then turned her out into the paddock.
