*she slips her foot into the stirrup of the dark stallion's saddle. Trent snorts and nips at her playfully as she quickly mounts and pushes the big, young stallion into a walk. he instantly moves forward and comes on the bit. Saddle smiles and allows the stallion to stretch down into the bit. The colt was spirited and playful on the ground, but under saddle he was calm and gentle and always willing to work. she does some leg yeild and turns on the forehand at the walk before trotting the horse. his long strides easily cover the ground in fluid motions. She guides the colt through figure 8's, serpintines and circles, all simple excersises for the talented young horse. he bucks boredly and Saddle tells him "NO" firmly. Then she slides her leg back and squeezes the outside rein gently. he instantly springs into an easy canter. She keeps him on a figure 8, working on his simple changes. the excersise was simple for the horse, but Saddle wanted to make sure he had a strong foundation of the basics before she started working on more complicated moves. After a little while of cantering, she slows him to a trot, then a walk and looks at the gymnastic jumps set up in the ring, all set to be 2'-2'6". she lets the big horse walk for a few minutes, then cues him into a trot and brings him over the fences. Trent easily hops over every fence, cantering between them. Saddle remains motionless in her 2-point position, allowing Trent to balance himself over the fences. the dark stallion does perfectly several times before Saddle cools him out, untacks him and bathes him. then she rides Shining over a course of 4'-5' fences. the pretty red roan thoroughbred mare easily clears all the fences. After Shining is cooled out and put away, Saddle rides Silver and works on their new freestyle, to be done to "You Know Your Right" by Nirvana. Silver steps in time to the music through the whole test, eagerly doing all the movements. Saddle praises him, then cools him out, bathes him and turns him out*
