Later that day I fetched Crystal and aftre grooming and saddling her , I lead her to the ring I had been in with Memento and as the jumps had been left out and lowered, I decided to work her over these. The jumps were from about 2’ to 3’ in height, and crystal was well capable of clearing these. After a short warmup in all gaits, I cantered her towards these. Her takeoffs were smooth and she tucked her forelegs up enough to clear the pole by inches. He strides between the jumps were even and he landings we easy, she did not stumble at all during her landings. She cleared the 3’er easily so once the course was finished I raised the height of 1 jump to 3’6”, her heighest jump so far.i then cantered her towards it and allowed her to taked the rein and stretch her neck out all she needed. It was once again very smooth. In fact I cannot think of a gait or jump of hers that is not smooth, that’s why she is such a great dressage horse. I jumped her again and agin over the same jump until I was confident she had it under control and then I did the course with her agin. She had no faults. As a cool down I workedon her trooting, both collected, regular and extended and then her transitions. I then walked her on a short trail as a relaxing cool down. then I unsaddled her, hosed her down, gave her a carrot and turned her out. I then went back inside the barn ot clean out both Crystals and Mementos stall and put away their tack.
