I walked into the barn and got out Man O' Heart. It seemed like i had just bought the colt but know he was a 16.2hh 3y/o colt. He had really filled out. I tacked the sweet colt in a jumping saddle. He turned around and nudged my side as i tightened the girth. He seemed to be saying will you just hurry up i want to get going. I laughed and went faster. I went and got my helmet out of the tack room. Then i got a jumping crop and his bridle and jumping boots out of his tack trunk. I went back out and put his boots on his legs. Then i put on his bridle and led him to the indoor ring where i mounted up. It was raining out and the rain was pounding on the roof of the ring. Heart pranced around the ring and i laughed and told him to calm down. He calmed down in a few minutes and i squezzed him into a trot and he headed out into the faster gait. i posted easily to his gait. After we had gone around 2 times i squezzed him into a canter and settled to the rocking horse gait. He was doing really well at the canter considering a little while ago he was always triping over his own feet. I stopped him after 3 rounds at the canter and got off and led him over to the jump standards which were set at 4ft. I lowered them to 1 ft verticals and some cross rails and ground poles. I got back on and asked him for a trot around the ring once then aimed him at the ground poles. I got him to go over them a few times then i pointed him at the crossrails. He jumped the crossrails smoothly and accuratly. Once he had done that i prasied him and asked him to do one more jump. It was the 1ft vertical. I asked him to canter and he went strongly towards it. He neared it and slowed his pace so he could get over it accuratly. He arched his back and soared over the jump. Then he landed and cantered away. I pulled him up near the gate to the barn. Then i dismounted and led him back to the stalls. I took of his bridle and put his halter on him. Then i hooked him into crossties and then took his saddle off his back. I put it away and then took of his boots. Then i took him to the wash rack and gave him a bath. Then i towel dried him and groomed him. Then i put his stable blanket on him and put him in his stall and fed him an apple. Then i went and cleaned his tack. After that was done i went up to the office on the second floor of the barn and did some paper work and got some things sorted out.
