I headed into the barn to fetch Crystal’s equipment. I reached her stall and gave her a groom. I saddled her and then led her to the outside riding ring. I decided I would use today’s workout to prepare for the show. I rode her around in all types of formations including serpentines and circles at all gaits. I got her to perform flying changes perfectly and I got her to walk backwards smoothly. It showed that she really trusted me. I managed to improe her extended walk so it was smooth. I worked on all of her transitions, trying to make the one between trot and canter much smoother. After an entire hour of intensive riding, I walked her around the yard to cool her, then unsaddled her. I then led her into her paddock and left her their to graze for the afternoon.
