I slipped into Pennys stall and after giving her a while to adjust to my presence, I began to gently groom her. I clipped on her lead rope and slowly and gently began to lead her out into the indoor arena. It was currently vacant so I clipped on a lunge line and slowly let her out. She circled around me at a walk, quite obedient. She was a little skittish as o asked her to break into a trot. Her trot was lively, but very even and rhythmic. I turned her around and continued to trot her in the opposite direction, building her muscles up evenly. I asked her to canter and she effortlessly lengthened into a smooth rocking horse canter. Her graceful gait was beautiful to watch and I turned her around again to work her on a counter clockwise canter. I slowed her down to a trot and asked her to perform a collected trot. She had good form and held her body frame well. During an extended trot she showed her good conformation. I brought her back to a walk and brought her in. after she had cooled I lead her to her paddock and unclipped her lead line. I watched her as she galloped off to the other side of the field and then returned to the barn to ride the others.
