I opened up my tack box. I got out my navy blue lunge line.
I got out the foal halter and leadline and headed for Amy and Patriot's stall. I put the halter on the foal. Patriot. playfully nipped at me. "no," I told him. He pranced as I led him out. i crosstied him and groomed his fuzzy body. I touched his ears and got him used to people touching his face. Next, i clipped the lunge line onto his halter and lead him out to the ring. He pranced in the sand. "Come on,
trot." I told him gently tosing the end of the lunge line at
his rear. He set off at a brisk canter. "Easy," I said,"Whoa". He slowed a little. I managed to get him to slow down and come into me. i put the chain over his nose and sent him back out. He didn't know what a nose chain did until he didn't slow down. I gave a little tug on the line. He squealed and slowlt trotted. "Good boy!" I said as he trotted around me. He sweated as he went. He had good stamina. I was pleased with him. I brought him into me and I led him into the barn. I put the leadline on him, with a nose chain. I put the lunge line into my tack box and I led him into the wash stall. I crosstied him and put the hose nozzle on Mist. I misted him off and then he let me use the shower setting on his. I taught him how to put his ears back and close his eyes so I could hose his face. I sweat scraped him and then grazed him. When he was dry I put him back with Amy.
