I sharply whistled to Calypso & the black stallion came galloping over to me.He was so magnificent, & totally stunning.I hated to pick favorites with my horses, but Calypso had to be my favorite horse ever! "Your so beautiful Calypso," I cooed to the 17 hand Holsteiner.I clipped a lead to his halter & led the black horse up to his stall in the stable.I quickly groomed Calypso's glossy, shining, black coat. It was perfectly clean & shiny, so I didn't need to brush it for long. Then, I tacked up Calypso and led him to the outdoor jumping arena. There I mounted the well trained stallion, & let him walk on.His long stride was smooth & elegant. After walking Calypso around for a bit, I trotted & cantered him. Then I cantered Calypso over a warm-up jump.He took the 3'-9" jump like it was nothing & cantered on.I warmed him up over a couple more jumps that were around 4 feet, & then started the jumper course I was doing with him.The beautiful black stallion cantered up to the 5 foot jump, & lifted himself off the ground, clearing the 5 foot jump powerfully. One thing I loved about jumping was that whenever you went over a jump, you got the sensation of flying for a couple of seconds.I let Calypso speed up his canter & the black horse cantered on to the next jump, a 5'-6" spread.Calypso made a powerful jump off the ground & got over the large spread.I sat up & Got Calypso to practically turn on his haunches for the next jump.Calypso got over this 5'-3" single easily, & hand galloped to a white painted 4'-9" gate. After doing a combination, a large triple, a fake brick wall & a large coop.I galloped the Holsteiner stallion to the last jump, and he flew over the 4'-6" liverpool with ease.I slowed him down from a gallop to a canter, trot & then a walk.I gave him a big pat on the neck, then walked out Calypso & led him back to the stable, where I hosed him off, fed him a carrot, & turned him out in his large paddock.Calypso bucked & galloped around in his paddock, showing off for the grazing mares a ways away from his paddock.Eventually, The black Holsteiner stallion settled down, & started grazing on the green grass in his roomy paddock.I walked back up to the barn, put away the lead I was carrying, & walked up to the house.
