Subject: riding my horses Author: Leah [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 07:39:00 08/08/02 Thu Today i decided to ride rosie since i had not rode since we arrived,i caught her in from her paddock and tacked her up i took her to the indoor jumping arena and took her over a course of 5ft jumps she jumped well but got excited and would not stand still! I took rosie out off the arena and put her in a stable took off he tack and gave her a big pat then i got pach out and lunged him for 30 mins i worked on some basic dressage and did a 2ft jump i gave him pat and put him in a stable i got spakles out and lunged her for 30 mins i worked on some basic dressage and did a 3ft jump with her(after a couple of times!)i gave her pat and put her in a stable, next i got out sweetie and and did some jumping work i did some trotting poles first the i took her over a small 5 inch pole and she jumped it cautiously i gave her a big pat and rasied the jump to a 1ft and took sweetie over it she refused 2 times and ran out once but the she jumped it i gave a very big pat and a scoop of treats, i put her in a stable and then got misty out i tacked him up and took him on a two mile endurace ride halfway trough the ride i gave him a gallop so went we got back misty was very hot i hosed him down and put him in a stable.
