Saddle i would like you to see how they are all getting on.

Halo:-

Today i thought that i would try some bareback jumping with halo today. Mal had given me the idea when she jumped her bareback when i was on holiday. So we did some easy 3ft jumps but halo was getting annoyied with not jumping high fences so after a while she started rushing into the fence then stoping and jumping it from stand still just for fun. So i gave in and put up a 4ft and a 5ft. I rode her up to the 4ft first but halo had other ideas and she turned and jumped the 5ft insted. I told halo off for this as i trusted her with my kids and i did not wanted her to start doing that. I put all the other jumps down after that exsept for a 3ft. Halo got the message and she knew that she had been bad. I put her in a stall then for the night because she had been bad.

Raven:-

After Mal had riden raven (not knowing that know one had done it before)i have realised that Raven was a faster learner than i had first thought. That day raven had reared in shock but after that she seemed to know what she was doing. I had worked with her on all the stuff mal did on the lunge but never riding her. So i tacked raven up and mounted her. She stood quietly waiting for instruction. So i said walk on. She walked foward. I walked her around the arena a couple of times then i said trot on. I sat in her flowing trot for a while then i said collected trot, she did it, then i said extended trot, she did it. Last of all i asked her to canter in the corner. She had done everything perfect. I got off and gave her the biggest pat she had ever had. I was so happy with my little Raven. :-)

Baby:-

Me and baby worked on 3ft fences today with a 4ft one two finish. Baby is going to be a top class jumper.

Doll:-

Today i was going to try doll for the first time riding off the lunge. I tacked her up and mounted. Like baby she behaved well. First i just walked her round her a while and i did some 20 meter circles in walk. Then i asked her to trot. Doll trot was just a smooth as babys and doll was just as responsive. I finished off with some 20 metre circles in trot then i walked to round to cool her down. I let her out into one of my big pakocks (for my stallions) for a treat, while it was not being used.

Dal:-

I put on dals western saddle and bridle then i mounted. I warmed her up at a jog then i asked her to trot. Today i was going to have a go at pole bending with her. I got Toby to put out the poles. I cantered her up to the poles then i just left her to do it. I could not belive her speed. She went in and out of the poles as if they were not even there. I gave her a pat and took her up to the again. She did the same thing. I put up some barrols and did some work with her on that. I gave her a groom then i turned her out.

Primrose:-

I did 4th level dressage with her. She made a couple of mistakes the first time so we went though it again. Primrose was doing realy well with her 4th level dressge training but she was not ready yet to compete at that level.

STERLING DREAM:-

I took Dream into the jumping arena and we did some simple 3ft jumping working on her tecnic. She did realy well and her jumping has improved.

Playgirl:-

I took playgirl for a walk on the roads. So was good with most of the traffic but she spooked at a big blue lorry and trampled a flower display. Opps!!!!!

Fire Dutchess:-

I took Fire to have a look at the lungeing arena to get her used to the feel of the sand before i started lunging her. It took me a while to perswade her to go onto the new surface, but as soon as she had got used to it she was back to her normaly self lol.

Silky Halo:-

I took silky into the paddock where her mum was today. It was great to see the filly and her mother getting to know each other any so i left them alown and i did not work silky today.

Candi:-

I did some dressge with candi. We went though the 4th level dressge test. Then i put her jumping saddle on her and i did some 4ft jumping with her. She was realy good at both so next week i am going to push her a bit more.

Silver wave:-

I lunged wave over a 18 inch jump. I realy liked her action over the jumps. I had never seen such a smooth action before. I raised the jump to 1ft but still her action was realy smooth. I left her there today but i made a mental note to tell saddle what my new foal was doing.

Patriot:-

Amanda Led the little colt around the field. He was well behaved but he liked prancing about every so often. Amanda just laughed but i told her that she needs to get him out of that habbit before he gets too used to messing around.

Spice:-

I took him into our cross country field and practiced the water jump which spice often has trouble on. He used to be afraid of water, although her has nearly got over it he still is hesitant when jumping this jump. He over came his fear today and jumped it for me perfectly, so i left him there.

Springy:-

I took springy on a walk. He was very good and he did not even take any notice of the traffic.

Not Quite Silver "Sammy":-

I gave sammy a day off. He has been working up to his breaking in training so i desided he deaded a rest. I grooming him for Half an hour in his stall. He thought it was so fun that he tried to start grooming me back :-)

Perfectly Silver:-

I still have not desided on a pet name for him. I have just brought him off mal. I tacked him up and mounted. I Walked troted and cantered him. He was very good so i took him over some troting poles. He was very good so i gave him a big pat and went inside to try and deside on a name. Maybe saddle could think of a good pet name for him.

Knight To Order and Calypso's Song:-

I lunged them both. I desided that they were both ready to be broke in. But not today. I gave them a rest.

Lucky:-

I jumped lucky today. We did some 5ft jumps. They were looking easy for her. I raised them all 3 inches. She cleared them again. I raised them another 3 inches. She cleared them again. I put one up to 6ft. She cleared it but she knocked it with her foot. So i took her over it again and she cleared it at least i thought she did. She must have lost her balance over the jump. I went crasing down onto the jump and that is all i remember...........
