I trotted Free to the cross-country course with Julia cantering behind me on Ele.When we got there, I pulled Free up and told Julia where the smaller pony jumps were and she cantered that way. I watched as she and Ele popped over the first jump easily then I turned Free to the first 4' jump, urged him into a canter and then Free jumped a little to early and he had to stretch to not knock over the top bar, then he cantered to the tiger trap next and we kept going until we had finished and Julia came trotting up smiling from ear to ear.
"She was PERFECT!Didn't even try to throw me off!" She patted Ele happily.
"Lets take a ride down the trail." I replied laughing.
I let Ele catch up and settled into Free's lazy walk.
"Julia if you had to choose you favorite pony, which would it be? Tofta, Bunny, or Ele?" I asked.
"Ele, why?" she replied.
"Oh I just want to sell all my horses than Spring, Free and Ele."
"WHAT?" Ele shied at the loud noise "You can't sell Eagle! You promised him to me!"
"I know, I know, but I'm getting Sunny's foal, and maybe a racer, and I just can't keep up with all the bills anymore."
"Oh, well when I out grow Ele, I want to have Eagle as a horse to ride, because Spring has dropped very nice foals so far."
"Okay, lets go back" I happily turned Free around and cantered to the barn.
"HEY WAIT UP! ELE ISN'T EXACTLY FREE!" Julia shouted.
