I walked briskly into the barn and slipped into Memento's stall i gave him a good brush as he hadn't been ridden for a few days. i led him outside into the yard and saddled him into his eventing gear. i wrapped his legs in bandages just in case, in his excitement he hit one of the jumps as i didn't want him injuring himself. i then led him around the yard as he frisked about me. i then mounted and walked him towards the outdoor ring, in which i had set up some jumps. i cantered him around and allowed him to toss his head. After being cooped up in his stall and having his only excrecise running around in the paddock each day, he was willing to be exercised. after a few circles of the ring i then trotted him to get him warmed up. i then broke him into a canter and aimed him towards a low jump. he lunged into the sky and cleared it by inches. i decided it was time to raise the bar. i made the bar a few inches higher then remounted and headed him towards it. he had no problem so after a few more jumps, i raised the bar to 4' and after a few more circles of the ring i steered him towards it. once again my beautiful stallion had no problem with the height. i jumped him at that height twice more and then raised it to 4'3". almost impossibly he soared above te ground a cleared the jump wothout a thought. i think he is ready to be upgraded to the next jumping level, i think he has natural talent, but i will keep him at this level until i'm sure he is able to compete at such a height without any difficulties. i cabn see some ribbons ahead of us! i then walked him around 4 5 mins and then dismounted giving him a quick hose down after unsaddling him and before releasing him into the paddock.
