I began groomimg Sparkle in her stall. Sparkle stood still,
she really liked being gromed in her stall. "Good girl Sparkle. You like this don't you?" I said. I then tacked
Sparkle up and headed out for the ring. I checked the girth
and pulled down my stirrups. I then swung up into the saddle. Sparkle and I walked toward the rail."I hope we can find a show that doesn't require a trailer." I said to my mare."I really want to show you!" Sparkle nickered as if to agreee. We then picked up the trot and began doing serpintines to improve Sparkle's bending. After I did 2 serpintines I asked Sparkle to halt. The transition was smooth and felt beautiful. We stood there to the count of 3 and then I asked Sparkle to back up. She backed up obediently. "Well done Sparkle!"I said. "I hope that looked as good as it felt!" We picked up the canter. We did lots of cirlces and I got Sparkle bending nicely. "Ok girl you can walk." I said. Again the transition was smooth. We reversed and walked for a few minutes and began to canter figuire 8's. Sparkle didn't miss a change. I let Sparkle walk and gave her a big pat."Wow! You are so good today!"
I told her. She nodded her head up and down as id to say,"Yes, I am good aren't I?" I troted around the ring 2 without stirrups. It was really bouncy. I then cooled Sparkle out and untacked her. I gave her a carrot and then
went to see Dutchess, my pregnant mare. "Hi girl, how's your baby?" i asked softly. Dutchess nickered in response.
I groomed Dutchess in her stall and then left her to herself. I then went home.
