In reply to: Helen 's message, "Sure!!" on 14:46:12 07/15/02 Mon

Beauty moved easily beneath Helen in a smooth canter but that could change at any second. Immy cantered lightly forward, round and on the bit. Beauty bucked and took off at a gallop. Helen held mane and tugged on the reins. Beauty slid to a stop and sent Helen flying. The champion reining mare snorted and bobbed her head playfully. Helen walked over and vaulted on glaring at the mischevious mare. They continued to the barn and Susan slid off Immy and handed her reins to Helen. Beauty nuzzled Susan and pranced into the barn under Susan's confident hand. "The little devil." Helen muttered before stepping into the barn. She slipped on Immy's halter and brushed the mare off. Beauty was already in her stall and nipped Immy as the new mare walked past. Susan stroked Beauty's nose and said, "Why are you so mean to Helen?" The mare whinnied exuberantly in reply and walked over eat some hay left over from her breakfast. Immy whinnied back, challengingly, and nuzzled Helen. "At least, you don't hate me." Helen cooed. She and Susan walked into the lounge and sat down on the couch, resting after the ride.
