* she walks down to Trent's paddock, then brings the stunning dark colt up to the barns. he dances playfully all the way up and squirms in the crossties while she grooms him and tacks him up. he behaves wonderfully while she bridles him, not resisting the bit at all. then she leads him to the outdoor flatwork ring and mounts. As soon as she is in the saddle, Trent spins and grabs the mounting block between his teeth. "NO Trent! let it go!" she tells him. he drops the mounting block and shies away from it. Saddle steadies him, then tightens her reins and asks him to bend and become round. the colt does this instantly and holds the frame while they walk circles, serpinties and figure 8's. finally, Saddle asks him for a trot and he instantly moves into a foward trot. Saddle brings him back into a round frame. she does some more walk-trot transitions until the colt remains round in his transitions, then does some circles in both directions at the trot before cooling him off, bathing him and turning him out.

After Trent is done, she goes to get Silver from the paddock. the big stallion walks calmly to the barn and stands quietly in the crossties while she grooms him and tacks him up. she leads him to the riding ring and mounts, then schools him hard, working on transitions, counter canters, 10 and 15 meter circles and serpintines at a canter before working on leg yeilds and shoulder in's. the big horse does everything perfectly and Saddle becomes more confident about her chances at the next show
