I go to Sir Bartons pasture he is tossing his head in a circle and rears then gallops to me, he is ready to go. I put on his halter and bring him to the barn. I groom his shiny black coat thoroghly. I get my saddle and put it on precisly. He stamps his feet and snorts impationtly. I laugh and grin, happy to such spirit. I put on my helmet and riding chaps, and grab my crop. I put on his bridle, and we head out to the round pen. I lounge him both ways in a walk trot and canter. I don't see how he sees with his long bangs (typical of friesians). :)). he does wonderfully so I take him to the arena. there 3ft jumps are set up. he has been doing well with his training. we canter around a while as i warm him up under saddle. We go over a small X
he sails. We go over a few times, then i set up the gymnastic we jump them about 10 times with breaks and dinks of water. after we go for a gallop in the field he bucks once, I know he is happy. I cool him down and take him back to the barn. I take off his bridle and hand him a treat. I take off his saddle and groom him well, I rub linament on his legs and on his back as a treat. I then take him to his pasture give him another carrot and lrt him go. I stand near the gate an watch him roll. I am very proud of him!
