I walked into the barn and got Courage ready to be ridden.
It was the last time i would tack him up in that barn. I took him out to the ring and mounted. He seemed to sense my excitement because he instantly started to prance in place.
"Courage!" I said,"what is wrong with you? This isn't you!'
He snorted and walked on, but unwillingly. As he walked I told him about his new home at Timeless Farm. He seemed to like the idea of living outside. I asked hi to trot. Suddenly, he took off! "Whoa Courage!" I said but he didn't listen. I tried to stop him but I couldn't so it was time for an emergency dismount. I took my feet out of the stirrups and tucked my arms up close to my body. I then let myself roll off of him. I hit the ground with a thud. the instant Courage felt me fall he slowed to a stop. He came over to me to see if I was alright. He stood beside me and waited for me to get up. I got up and scolded him. "What we're you thinking?!" I yelled at him. He looked at me with a twinkle in his eye. He had obviously been having fun until I bailed off. He seemed to be saying to me,"Come on, let's go! That was fun. This time, stay on me!' I knew if I got back on he would do it again so I lunged him for awhile
and then cooled him off. "It's a good thing I like you Courage or else you would've been gone in a flash!" I said.
I untacked him and put him away with out a treat. I got Sparkle out and took her for one last walk around the farm.
I groomed her so she'd look nice when she arrived at TF. I did the same with Dutchess. Mal had stopped by earlier to pick up Flame. Dutchess seemed to be happy that Flame was gone. I took her for 1 last walk around the place and groomed her. Just as i put her away, Dana pulled in to trailer my horses to her farm. I grabbed my tack nad put it in my car and then helped load courage, Dutchess,and Sparkle. I then followed Dana to Timeless farm. When we got there, Dana helped me unload my horses and showed me which pastures where their's. After i put them in their new homes, I unpacked my tack and other stuff and put it in the tack room next to Holly's stuff. Holly had had a lesson earlier with Dana and Dana had brought her over to KDS when
she came to trailer my horses. "Thanks Dana!" i said. "Your welcome!" She said back as she walked off. Holly and I then went home.
