After ariving at forever creek stables i decided Misty would need a ride to calm him down as he gets over excited when travelling.After getting Misty and Rosie out of Katie's trailler i asked if i could borrow some tack for misty.I put on a bridle and saddle that katie gave me and i mounted Misty.As i mounted Misty he was prancing around and moving backwards and forwrds as i tried to get on as i
thought this would happen i told Katie to hold him still.
Katie said she would watch me ride him and she would make sure i did not get lost as i went to the dressage arena.Katie took me to the indoor dressage arena so i could
work him on the flat i said to Katie if he was good i would take over some jumps to finish off my ride. When i
walked in the dressage arena misty began to trot a lap of
excitment round the arena when i calmed him down i set to work i walked him on a long rein for about five minutes and progressed him into trot on the right rein then i did two laps of the arena in canter and had to keep asking misty to steedy as he was getting excited again! I did the same on his left rein and did a 20 m circle at C and A on each rein to finish off his flatwork. I did 2 figures of 8 i started doing the first on the right rein second one on the left then i gave him a long rein and a pat and walked him up to the jumping arena.Katie commented on what a responsive pony he was and gave him a big pat, when we got to the jumping arena i only jumped 3 fences as he had done a lot of work we jumped two 2ft fences and finsed off with a 3ft fence he was quite hot when we got back to the yard so i took of
the tack he was wearing and gave it back to Katie i hosed Misty off and took up to a paddock and turned him out i did the same with Rosie and went inside to talk to katie.
