*Special Edition*

*Perfect Dream*
Susan turned into the driveway at DFRS and parked her truck. Mal walked over to greet her and said, “Hi, Susan! Have you come to get Edition & Dream?” Susan nodded and they chatted as they walked into the barn. Dream poked his head out of his stall and nickered to Susan. “How’s my man?” she cooed, scratching behind his ear. She clipped a green & yellow lead rope to his halter and led him to her 2 horse trailer. He loaded easily and munched on his haynet. Edition was out in his paddock, grazing peacefully. Susan whistled sharply and opened the gate. The big Morgan galloped over and halted in front of her. She led him to the trailer and loaded him carefully. She put on his shipping boots and head bumper, as she had already done with Dream. Hopping into the cab, Susan waved goodbye to Mal and drove to GRF. She parked the trailer and unloaded the stallions. Dream walked calmly to his stall and nickered to all the others at the barn. Edition trumpeted to the mares and trotted down the ramp, with Susan firmly reprimanding his behavior. After they were both in their stalls, Susan got out Edition’s saddleseat tack. She groomed the handsome bay stallion until he gleamed and tacked him up for a quick workout. The Morgan tossed his head as she swung into the sloping saddle and gathered the reins. He arched his neck gracefully as she pushed him around the ring in a light prancy walk. He surged into a rack at Susan’s signal, after a few minutes of warm up. His slender legs came up high and his glossy brown coat shone in the afternoon sunlight. Susan trotted and cantered Edition a bit before dismounting and leading him to the barn. The stallion was such a pleasure to ride. Susan began to brush Dream, after tacking care of Edition. Dream dozed while she thoroughly brushed his glossy chestnut coat. He awoke with a start as she tightened the girth and then bridled him. After mounting and warming up, Susan squeezed very firmly with her legs. Dream loped forward, relaxed and calm. Susan looked at the barrels set up ahead of them. She smiled and lined Dream up to begin. The stallion perked up and eagerly raced toward them. Susan guided him through the clover leaf pattern and then slowed to a walk at the finish line. She dismounted and led the Arab to the barn. He accepted his carrot after being taken care of and cantered off across his paddock.
