((OOC: Sorry...I know I promised. I had to go bowling tonight! With my work crew/friends...lol...McDonald's people night out. ^__^))

The king allows his hand to be placed on his wife's stomach for some time, before logic registered in his mind. His normal, acute sense of reality seemed to dawn upon him, soothing his alarm and replacing it with calm repose. Gently, he moves his hand to her own and covers it with a sincere touch.

"Serenity, you are not old at all. Even if age sided against us, I hardly believe that such a trifling plight could threaten you. Not you, my strong queen, love of my life."

Why should a father not feel joyous? He did so, his heart smiling with his face. "Love, there is no reason to worry. We should jubilant! It is a child, Serenity. One of ours, our gift. This little prince, or this princess cherub, we will love, will we not?"

He is smiling broadly now, although there was no doubt of the hint of fear that joined the glint in his eyes. The matter was strenous, after all...the queen made an excellent point. But he knew of her love of her children, and he loved both his children and seeing his wife love them with him. It would make him happy if she were happy.
