Without a doubt, SafeWeb is the absolute best free web-based proxy service. Here's why:

With a regular proxy configured in your browser, your traffic can still be sniffed and analyzed. Safeweb encrypts all your web traffic so that not even your ISP can tell what you are doing online. Anonymizer does this but it delays your traffic unless you pay for an account. SafeWeb is very fast, and has many features. You can find the link on the 'proxie's part of this website (http://www.proxies.plebius.net).

Another good service is called JAP (Java Anoymous Proxy). It is based in Germany and also encrypts all your web traffic. You can also "bounce" through 2 proxies. It is also free. Sometimes it can be slow or down.

Probably the absolute best anoymizing service is Freedom. It does so much that I can't even begin to explain it all. It also costs money ($50 US).
