Its true, in the oldskool days 88-93 it was all one scene, but styles developed and people needed names for each style so they could discuss it and buy it more easily.
Thats why we need names for all the diffrent styles of dance music.
to be honest Hard house/Nu nrg/Hard Trance/Hardcore/Oldskool etc is all Just Hard dance. Which is the future btw ;)

The future is not hard dance, infact it's not hard anything...
The future is being able to create a vibe with music, it's bringing people together with a true party feeling.
Let's face it, if you can play music without trying to stick to one style you should be on the right track to sucsess. It is after all the DJ's who aren't afraid to drop something obscure that break barriers and cross boundries.
I short, just play MUSIC, good music & keep it real...
