Hey Guys......

Just to let you know that every time you make a donation to Goodwill, they should give you a slip marking how many boxes they received. It is up to you to place a dollar value on each box (at least that's what they do in Canton, OH). It is best that records be kept as accurate as possible (i.e., mileage write-off's, charitable donations, prescriptions, etc.) I have helped friends with their taxes and was able to get them a pretty sizeable refund because of their prescriptions, doctor's visits, job unreinbursed miles, charitable donations (including mileage incurred for charitable work), etc.

If you get audited, only back-up documentation will count as far as IRS is concerned. Keep the "paper trail."
