I have seen/heard some outragous behavior/questions from kids but for a 3 year old to act like he does on the mommy test is so over rated. You will be a great mom and hope that that everything works out!!

Hi Kellie,
We have been trying to conceive a baby for the past 3 years we have had 3 miscarriages one with twins. I am now 31 and very desperate for children to love and care for. I had a surgery to try and fix my bicarnet Uterus, took clomid, and shots. After the surgery I got pregnant with twins and also lost them. We are not in the process of trying to adopt. I did not know if you knew where to get help with the cost of the adoption whether it be fund raisings, grants, or loans. I have been desperately trying to get in for Cash or crash but as you can see had no luck. We are very excited about the chance to adopt a child. I was adopted and could not be more excited. I would love to here from you even if it's just word of advise or info you may know of. Thanks for talking the time to listen. An good luck with you adventure in this awful and stressful time.

Do you have any Price relatives in Georgia, Mississippi, or Louisiana? My maiden name is Price, and heard that your mother's side is Price. I also understand that your father was a Baptist preacher; my uncle is a Baptist preacher from Marietta, GA, the Rev. Dr. Nelson L. Price. Any relation?

Kellie and morning crew,

I really have enjoyed looking through each of your web-sites. I listen every morning and you all give me a laugh each morning which starts my day off good. You have a very nice family Kellie and cute kids.

I also enjoyed the wedding pictures of yours and your friends. I loved the red, something different for a wedding.

Each of you keep up the good work and know you give all of your listeners a good laugh which is very needed in this time in our lives.

Thank you all very much for the wonderful years you have given me a laugh.

Happy Holiday to All.

Hey Kelly-
I am a big fan- I love your honesty- and for those who don't like it - who cares!
As for this Mommy test- please- NO kid asks questions like that and you do GREAT! I have 2 kids and as long as you have set rules from the beginning they will be behave and listening to all your answers - you are already ahead of the game! They will test you - but that mommy test is crazy- it is fun to listen to but not realistic in my opinion! You are a good sport!
I'll tell you what's funny to watch is Nanny 911- those kids are out of control! And it is easy to tell by your answers you will have great kids. And you will have kids- I just know it.
Well good luck- I'll say a prayer for you guys!

Kellie,
I always listen to Kidd Kradick in the morining, and the other day when you were talking to the fear fatter contestants, you said a very ugly comment. One of the contestants, Marcie, told AL that she loved him. Your respone to her was "Well, he dosen't like you because you are fat." I'm sorry but that is rude!

Kelly,
My husband and I went through three years to fertility treatetments, spent thousdands of dollars, only to find out that we could never concieve a baby. I then had to have a historectomy, which ended our chances of ever having a baby. We were heartbroken, and felt that our fertility Doctor should have known about my condition. I see a lot of people have sent email about what to take, what not to take and such. I have just a couple pieces of advise. 1. They next person that tells you to relax, and you will get pregnant, SLAP THEM and SLAP THEM HARD. 2. Develop a sense of humor. It will keep you from going insane. I use to have to go through test after test and procedure after procedure. I told my husband that after all that if I did get pregnant I could give birth in TIme Square and it would not bother me. My husband joked about being replaced by "Tupperware" because of all the samples he had to provide. And Don't even get me started on sperm counting!
When we found out that we could not have kids we were devestated. We spent three days crying about it, and holding each other. Remember your husband will feel just a helpless as you do. He is going through it too! My husband wouldn't come around me during the treatments unless he was aremed with GUmmy Bears and Haggen Daz icecream. But he was there through it all. After my surgery we decided to check into adoption. We could not afford private adoption (Becuase we spent almost every last dime on fertlity treatments) so we went through CPS. On November 20th my husband and I will celebrate our second year as parents. Last November we adopted Twins, a boy and girl, who were 15, and they are the joy of our lives. Although I still grieve for the child I couldn't have, I just wanted to let you know that I understand what you are going through. Good luck. I love the Mommie quiz. It goes a little overboard, but it is funny.

Hi Kellie - My best friend lost her sister to breast cancer last year. I heard about the 3 Day Walk on KissFM and wanted you to know that I registered to walk in June! I have never done anything like this before and I'm very excited about doing what I can to help further research for a cure. I have alot of training ahead of me!

I have to raise $2,100 in order to walk. I have a web page (below)....can you mention it on air or post on Kiddlive.com?
I appreciate anything you could do to help me get the donations I need to walk!

Dear Kellie,

Hey Kellie I get so frustrated in the mornings when ya'll quiz Al on his love life. I really feel like he needs to step out of the box. If you always judge a book by its cover than you will nver know what your missing out on. Three years ago I was a single mother of four children. I had been married to their dad for almost 10 years. He decided that the grass was greener on the other side. I was horrified. Little did I know that GOD had someone very special for me. I met a very wonderful man. When I first met him I didn't know if I could date him because he was overweight.I really got to know him for the person he was on the inside and not for whats on the outside. He is absolutely my life. I realy feel like there is a few one and a million men. We have been married for a little over a year. My kids adore him as much as I do. My point to this email is that this society is so crule. We look at the outside of someone and turn our back only to be a statistic. If more people would be more willing to get to know others for their inner beauty and not judge from the outside in this would be a lot better place to live. I chalenge Al to stop looking at the outside and look at the inner beauty. Life is so short to spend it alone. Thanks so much for your time in reading this email. I love your show and hope the best for you. Good Luck BABY making. Children are such awesome gifts from GOD.

Sincerely,
Laura

I was so happy to hear your voice that I called all my new friends to tell them about the coolest DJ's in Texas perhaps the US. I have been so homesick and now you have brought a piece of home to me. Thanks for coming to Austin. I only wish they would paly the same music that 106.1 plays. Oh well at least I got half of the best. Thanks again for coming here.
(Tell Kidd and Al I miss them too, but that you are my favorite.) :-)

I do have children and I would always defend them, but defend them against something that will effect their lives. Not if someone thinks your kids are to old to trick or treat.
All I am saying is that you are being just as hateful as you accuse others if you read your email. You actually told someone they would not be blessed with children because they said something you do not agree with.

Hi Kelly,
I wanted to tell you that I have read threw this message board and apparently some of the people who have posted missed the old lesson if you do not have something nice to say then do not say anything at all. I personally think that you are such a great inspiration to REAL women. I have listen to the show for as long as I can remember I have laughed, cried, you name it, you all are like family to me. The reason for my post is that I to have been trying to have a baby and we are very close in age. For the past 3 years we have tried and have gone to the fertility clinic in Irving and worked with the doctors their, we did clomid as well and all the usual test. All they could find was that I was fully capable but my luteal phase was shorter then normal and so we just needed to monitor my cycle more closely. Well after a year of going to the clinic and clomid and lots of out of pocket money. My husband and I decided to take a break. Another year pasted an still no baby. Well I found a new doctor and he recommended something a little different for the luteal phase problem. He sent me to a website that sold Ovulex and said that he wanted me to start taking according to directions and oddly enough it was all natural ingredients. Which was a nice change from the crazy mood swings you get on Clomid. The Ovulex extends your window of opportunity and makes your body a fertile ground. Anyway I bought it three bottles for $156.00. I noticed an immediate change in my body and the necessary needs your body must have at ovulation. Well I bought Ovulex on the 1st of October this year and was pregnant by the 24th. There have been so many times I have wanted to call you and tell you of the new help I have found, because I have struggled with you. I researched the ingredients and they are chinese fertility herbs that have been used for centuries. Anyway I thought I would share with you just in case you wanted to give it a try or ask your doctor about it. If you would like I could send you my two extra bottles. Well best of luck to you & May God Bless you both soon.

SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP...teenagers are too old to trick or treat....they are at the age where they should have some friends over and watch scary movies or something like that...not going door to door like some little five year old dressed up like Winnie the Friggin Pooh. It is so not about pushing children to grow up too fast...it's about mother's wanting to keep their fourteen year olds four years old forever...I know what this is like my mother treated and still treats my youngest 19 year old brother the same way...the results are this...he still lives at home...not going to school and up until about three months ago...got his first job..is this what you want by allowing your child of fourteen to trick or treat when he or she should really be interested in having little get togethers at a parents house and hanging out with friends their OWN AGE....not door knocking with a group of three year olds and their mommies asking for twix bars and such!!!!

EVIDENTLY YOU DONT HAVE CHILDREN EITHER. I DONT THINK IT IS OVERBOARD TO HAVE MY CHILDREN CRYING BECAUSE THEY WENT TO TWO DOORS WHERE "ADULTS" MISTREATED THEM AND THEN TO LISTEN TO PEOPLE THEY TRUST LIKE KELLIE, SAY THAT TEENAGERS SHOULDNT ACT LIKE KIDS. IGNORANT PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO THINK KIDS ARE A "WASTE OF OUR TIME" ARE EXACTLY WHAT THIS LISTENER WAS TALKING ABOUT. MAYBE IF MORE MOTHERS WENT A LITTLE OVERBOARD AND PEOPLE LIKE YOU GAVE A LITTLE MORE CONSIDERATION TO KIDS, WE WOULDNT HAVE SOME OF THE PROBLEMS WE HAVE TODAY. OUR KIDS ARE PUSHED INTO GROWING UP. AND HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT DEFENDING OUR CHILDREN IS OVERBOARD.

I just want you to know I am very disappointed in a comment you made the day after halloween about opening your door to find teenagers trick-or-treating. I have a twelve and fourteen year old who love to trick-or-treat, but due to uncaring, cruel, close-minded people like you, they do not want to even try. In todays society, children are forced to grow up too quickly. We wonder why we have so much trouble with our teenage gang violence and drop outs. It is due to people like you who set your own idea of when u think children are< "too old" to do childish things. We need to let our children be children as long as they have the desire. If you ever were blessed with a child, you would want that child to stay little as long as possible and you wouldn't want some rude, self centered person telling them that they were too old to be a child! You will never be blessed making comments like that! If you truly want a child you need to be encouraging young adults to stay young and stop putting pressure on them to grow up before their time with terrible remarks like you made the other day. I have gathered together 50 other mothers who are just as angry as I am, and we are going to make your comments known to as many parents in our area as possible to boycott your show and make sure you dont hurt any one else's children with your ignorance!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Hi Kellie and morning show. I am a disabled Viet Nam veteran and one of the oldest rock and roll, christian listeners in the Tyler area. My wife, Barbara, and I have been married for 25 years. We both have listened to the Kidd Kraddock show since about 1995. I used to listen to Kidd when he was with the Eagle.

My wife Barbara is a very beautiful woman and we have 3 beautiful children. A daughter Courtney and son Todd in college, and our youngest son is a senior in high school. Barbara has experienced nerve damage in the left side of her face located to the rear base of the skull. She was supposed to have surgery this year, but it seems the world has dropped on her. In March, she lost her dad unexpectedly. They were very close, and she is having a tough time getting over it. On June 11 this year, our oldest son was home from college and spent the entire summer in the hospital from a gunshot wound to the chest. It did so much damage that we almost lost him, but God was with him and pulled him through. He plays football in Kansas, but he lost so much weight that he had to be redshirted. He wasn't even expected to return to college until after the first of the year, but he was determined to go back and he did. He lost 60lbs. while in the hospital and already he is back up to 200lbs. Before the shooting he weighed 220lbs. Now the doctors said his blood pressure is high and the damage he endured to his heart could be causing several complications. We know God is with him, and he will help us all to get through it. About 6 weeks ago, our youngest son totaled his pickup but he escaped without injuries. My wife commutes back and forth to Dallas every day to work, 200 miles round trip. All of this has been a terrible strain on her. Sometimes at night, I will go upstairs and she will be in tears because of all the tragedies and the long hours. The thing that hurts the most, is she loves the kids and me so much and she never asks for anything in return except to know that we are happy. She doesn't think she is loved by us, but Kellie that is so far from the truth. Myself and our kids love her more than anything in the world, and we always will. Her favorite artist of all times is Rod Stewart. I wish as a favor to me and my kids, that you can convince Kidd to play "Have I told you lately how much I love you."

Thank you so very much for your time and consideration.

Ray, Courtney, Todd, Kyle Jackson.

Kelly,
I am here to tell you that you are trying to hard. I am 30 yrs old and have two boys. The first one was not suppose to happen. The doctors told both of us we were never going to have kids and then my first son came along. After trying for two years to have another one we finally gave up. I took nothing to prevent it, if it happen but in never did. I moved to Lubbock in December 2002. After moving here I found out in the middle of July that my grandfather was giving two week to leave. The next day I found out that I was 2 1/2 months pregnant. He passed on Septerber 1, 2003. I now have a 10 yr old and a 7 month old. It is in God's hands when we are going to have kids. Live your life for today and when it happens it will be even more enjoyable. I wish you the best and my prayers are with you.

I WAS ACTUALLY ON THE LITTLE TIPSY SIDE AND FELL A SLEEP FOR A FEW HOURS. WE DID LAUNDRY EVERY DAY EVERY CHANCE WE HAD UNTIL MY CYCLE. THE DAY I WAS OFF WE DID IT AGAIN. THEN ABOUT 6 WEEKS LATER I FOUND OUT I WAS 6 WEEKS PREGNANT. THE MORE YOU THINK ABOUT IT THE MORE YOUR BODY IS STRESSED. YOU BODY NEED TO JUST RELAX. I HOPE THIS HELPS. Hi Kellie,

My name is david Snell and I own Starlight Flight which took "Rich" and his wife up around dallas a few weeks ago. After several conversations with his wife, I have yet to hear back from Rich via phone or email but would like to reach someone with the morning show that might be willing to utilize several donated flights from my business to either: A. Give away to several children that could come out......go on a flight......and actually fly the plane with me or one of my flight Instructors. B. donate several flights to be auctioned off donating all proceeds you raise on air to the Kids Kids program. Secondly/ I have a Cajun catering Business and would LOVE to provide ya'll with a fully catered morning meal with a Cajun Fried turkey and sides. I hear Kid has to do a meal each year!

Not sure why I have not heard back from Rich! I just want to give back from the flights we received after Rich gave us a good plug!

P.S. I will also donate a flight for BIG AL to propose if he can ever hook up before the dead line! We have ahd over 125 proposals over 13 years!

Look forward to your reply!

I am a huge fan of yours I have listened to your show since I was a little girl, and as years go by i find that I am alot like you! I listen to you every morning and laugh because our personality is so much a like! On that subject i just wanted to comment on you trying to have a baby. I am not trying to get pregnant, but I am trying to get ingaged... no I can not control that but it is something i have wanted since the day i met my boyfriend, at first i was really excited when we first started talking about it and as time has past i got frustrated because it hasnt happened...i have now learned to just relax... because i know we will get engaged and soon married. the same with you, just relax and forget about the wife's tales and just let it happen, it will. i know how you feel though, you want it so bad... but its easier to go through the time happier and relaxed enjoying trying to have a baby naturally rather than stressing over it, then when it happens you will be soooo happy. Good luck.

I live in Big Spring, TX. We have an abandoned school that is located about 20 miles to the north of town called Gay Hill School. This school has been abandoned for many years and is in a very rural part of West Texas. This school has been an occult (devil worshiping)"hang-out" in the past and was burned by the hoodlems. There has been reports of supernatural things happening here, I also have witnessed a spook at this place. I have partied at this place when I was a teen and would love to talk to you about it.

If this sounds like something that would be of interest to you please give me a call at work 432-267-3126, my boss don't care.

Good Luck,
Enid

Hey Kellie - I was just wondering if you had considered trying acupuncture to help you get pregnant. I know it sounds crazy, but I've been reading alot of good things about what acupuncture can do to help bring your body back into balance. There are testimonials of women who were able to conceive after trying it. Just a suggestion. :)
Enjoy your show!!!

Kellie,
I listen to you every morning and feel your anxiety over not being able to conceive. You repeatedly state that you know God is punishing you for something you've done. I just wanted to give you the perspective that maybe God is blessing you in a way that you are unaware of. Last week you were saying how you and Freddy have not had any time to see each other. Now imagine yourself pregnant and by yourself while Freddy is working. Believe me, you do not want to be pregnant AND lonely. God makes things work when the time is right and he will bless you when he knows that you are ready- not anxious. Please be patient and know that things will work out. I have had a miscarriage and now have a beautiful three year old. Good luck, you're in my prayers.

kellie, hon, I have noticed the plethera of baby stories and I know you are thinking, "not another one, please" BUT...clomid did not work for me. I took it for almost a year and a half and gave up. I'm not gonna tell you I immediately got preggers or anything like that BUT I did eventually have a daughter who was not even medically possible. She's now 4 and is the bomb. I learned that we can take all the meds and stand on our heads all we want and a miracle won't happen until God is ready for it to. I am prayin for you every time they do the poo-lat-sange bit. I would have put my foot up Kidd's poo-lat-sange by now although it is the most true to life portrayal of motherhood I have ever heard.

Hi Kellie. My daughter (20) married her high school sweetheart on January 3, 2004. They wanted to start a family immediately. They were not able to conceive on their own due to my daughter having multiple cysts on both ovaries. Her OB/GYN put her on Clomid. She got pregnant the first month. They concenved in April, 2004. Well, my daughter had a miserable pregnancy from conception. She didn't have morning sickness - she had ALL DAY/NIGHT sickness. She couldn't eat or drink anything. It would automatically come back up. She was hospitalized twice for dehydration. She even had to have IV fluids on a couple of doctor visits. She also had gestational diabetes. She managed to get to a point were we thought she was going to be okay and start enjoying her pregnancy. Well, she went into labor and lost her mucus plug (sorry to sound gross). We rushed her to the doctor's office They did an ultrasound on her. The doctor wouldn't even let her get up off of the ultrasound table. They called for an ambulance to take her to the Women's Hospital. They tried to stop the labor to no avail and her water broke. They wisked my daughter away to do an emergency C-Section. She gave birth to a beautiful boy (Hunter Reid Lindsey)at 27 weeks. He came exactly 3 months early. His due date was 1/14/05. He was born 10/15/04. He weighed in at birth 2 lbs, 6 oz. He lost down to 1 lb, 12 oz. He's absolutely beautiful. We don't know yet the extent of damage done to him yet. He's (of course) on life support. His lungs are not fully developed yet. I hurt for my daughter because she has not held her baby yet and he is a week old. As a mother, I've always been able to kiss it and make it all better. There is absolutley nothing I can do to make this better for her. I know there are other mother's out there with premature babies, but this is OUR baby. We don't know what caused the premature labor, but I'm concerned that maybe it was the Clomid. I can e-mail you a picture of him if you would like to see him. I listed my e-mail address.

Kellie, I just wanted to give you a little encouragement on having a baby. I have been married for almost 4 years and my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 3 years. I finally went to get myself checked since he was OK and my Dr. put me on Clomid and 6 months later I found out that I was pregnant. I am now due to deliver around Christmas Day a little boy so I want to let you know not to give up hope. I went through all of those same uncomfortable tests and I am only 23 so I really thought the worst. It will happen for you and I will keep you in my prayers.

I know you have heard it all,but you might try this. After you and Freddie do your thing, either put pillows under your behind and prop it up for about 5 minute or so. Or you could stand on your head in the corner. I say this because some women have a tilted womb and the sperm can't get to where it needs to go. And try not to think about have a baby so much. Some times the harder you try the less you get. I know you have heard it all, but sometimes it's true. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Why do people feel the need to scare others when it comes to medical tests?? I had the dye test myself and it was not that painful.. I had a friend who told me how awful it was and it hurt so bad that I would cry the whole time and I needed someone to drive me to the appointment and so forth. Well, I ended up taking a 300mg acetaminophren pill and was fine. The only complaint I have is that it was uncomfortable. It didnt hurt, I could have driven myself home and walked right out of there, no problems. So, Kelly, relax and dont get yourself syched up over it. I too had fertility problems. Have PCOS, took prometrium, clomid and the dye test. Got pregnant after 7 months and have a gorgeous 8 month old baby boy. Good luck and just relax. It will happen in time.

Kellie-

While I sometimes find you entertaining, most of the time I find you to be self-centered, rude, and obnoxious. You do not seem to be a very nice person, unless someone is complimenting you. I notice how you rarely deem any listener important enough to talk to, unless, as I already said, they compliment you. You put everybody else down, as if you are perfect. You talk down to others, you dish it out and cannot take it, and you expect everyone to kiss your butt all of the time. I guess it is easy to be so self-righteous when you do nothing other than talk on the radio for about twenty hours a week. There is a petition to have you taken off the show, and I definitely plan to sign it.

KELLY! I never write people with advice, but I actually have some that may help you. I just finished going threw the house buying process. The best thing you could do in order to get your money out of your house is to not sell, rent it for about 6 mo. at $200 (at least) more than your payments. You can do this threw a real-estate company or there the state. If you rent it as Section 8 housing then the Government is responsible for collecting your rent and making sure your house is not being messed up! They require the renters to not only keep up the outside, but the inside. Also there is a shortage in Sec. 8 housing so it is in big demand. Just a thought.

Kellie,
I have done fertility treatments for a year. I did clomid, injections, and had surg. to see what was going on. One month I had 10 follicles from the injections and still didn't conceive. The doc told me I could not have kids without invitro.. my tubes were disformed and I have Polycystic Ovarian Disease. I cried for a month and then my husband and I decided we would do one round of invitro.. eventhough we did not have the money. I called to schedule the appt.. a month after the surg.. and I was pregnant. No meds.. nothing. People tell you to stop trying so hard, but I have been there and I understand you simple can't do that, but I am proof that miracles do happen. I failed to mention that I was given 2 due dates.. one by the specialist and one by my reg doc. One is April 5.. the day my husbands sister died at 16 and the other is April 7.. the day his father passed away. Things happen in mysterious ways.. but they always happend when they are meant to be. I never understood that.. until now. Good Luck with your journey and know that things will work out...

Dear Kellie,
I am 28 years old, and have been married for 5 years to my high school sweetheart. When we first got married we wanted started to have children right away, so we started trying. In the five years that we have been married, I have been pregnant 5 times and lost four of the pregnancies. My first pregnancy I lost early on, in the second pregnancy I also lost early on. When I got pregnant the third time and found out on my 9th week sonogram that the baby stopped growing and had to have a D&C, my doctor started doing every test possible on me and my husband. I started seeing a WONDERFUL infertility doctor here in the area, Dr. Sy Q Le in May of 2002. I went through 7 artificial insementations and got pregnant on the 4th try. My husband and I were excited to find out that we got pregnant with twins. My pregnancy was going well, my regular OBGYN saw me every two weeks, did sonograms every time, everything looking great, found out that we were having BOYS... Then on August 1, 2003 I went into preterm labor with my twins, I was 5 months pregnant, my doctor did everything he could to help control it. Then on August 3, 2003 I gave birth to two beautiful baby boys, who both died several minutes after entering this world. I thought my life had came to the end, I did not want to go own. I always wanted to be a mother so I knew I could not give up. I started back with Dr.Le right away, I had another insemenation and that failed. Then I lost my grandmother on October 5, 2003 and I had an insementation coming up and I knew that she would never want me to give up so I tried it again, and again it failed. So I told myself I am never going to be a mother and never to try this again, the emotional rollercoaster I was riding was about to be over, I did not want to go on. My husband talked to me and told me to try one more time and if it failed then I do not have to do it ever again. So on Decemeber 5, 2003 I did my final 7th insemenation, and on December 16, 2003, I found out that I was pregnant. I had doubts about this pregnancy, I was not letting myself get to attached and happy, just in case of it failing. My OBGYN sewed my cervix when I was 14 weeks along, to help prevent preterm labor happening again. On August 2, 2004 (my 5 year wedding anniversary) I went to my 36 week doctors appointment to have my cervical stitch removed, well he could not remove it, he sent me to the hospital to have my blood pressure monitored. I started going into labor and had an emergancy c-section and had me a BEAUTIFUL baby girl. Kellie, I am the mother of Riley Rayanne, I did it. I never gave up, even though I thought about it everyday. I know how hard and emotional it is every month when mother nature comes to visit, but you must keep trying and never give up. If it wasn't for my husband asking me to try one more time for him, then I would not be a mother, and I thank him everyday for that. I am not sure who you are seeing for your fertility, but if it is not Dr. Le, then you must go to him. Kellie he is the most wonderful, caring doctor (besides Dr. Wollenman, my OBGYN) that I have ever been to. He is located here in Las Colinas at the Baylor Hospital off of 635 & MacArthur.
I just wanted to tell you about my story and tell you never give up hope, it will happen.

Yours truly,
Lisa Jones

Kelly,

I had the dye test, found out one of my ovaries was no good and got pregnant two weeks later! I had previously been told I likely could not have children. The test was very, very painful for me (and a couple of friends) because it simulates birthing contractions as your uterus expels the dye. You should arrange for someone to drive you home....trust me on that! The nice thing about the test is that the dye can "blow through" a blockage in the tubes opening up the way for the egg next time. Good luck!

Hey Kelli -

Go ahead and have the doctor perform the dye test. I tried for 4 years to get pregnant and nothing. My doctor suggested the dye test, I did it and got pregnant 3 months later. The problem was a little bit of endometriosis on my uterus....this thing was as big as my pinky nail. He removed it and everything has been fine since.

Go for it !

Hey, everybody!

Well! I thought I might be pregnant for two whole days!! But unfortunately, the "I'm Not Pregnant" Fairy visited me late Saturday night, so Wednesday, I begin round 4 of Clomid. I also have to call my doctor's office today to schedule that dye test, which I'm nervous and excited about. Some of ya'll have me scared to death of the pain!! But I do have a high pain tolerance -- I can handle anything if I know it will be over soon. Still, I'm asking for a valium!!

Freddie was on TV this morning promoting his new karate school and the self-defense courses he's offering for young people. There were some audio problems at first, but he came back later in the show and from what I hear, he did great! I have it on Tivo at home, so it'll be tonight before I can see him. His phone's been ringing off the hook, so I'm hoping it brings him some new customers.

As far as pooping -- and I can't believe this has become such a focal point!! -- I keep finding things that work, but the problem is, my body gets used to it and it stops working after a week or so. Right now, I'm doing high-fiber cereal every morning and it seems to be helping. After that stops working, I'll try something else...It's a never-ending quest.....

I want to thank Jason for keeping up this website AND for getting www.freddiepoole.com up and running. I don't know why he's so good to us....but Freddie and I really appreciate him!!

XO

kellie - you rock! seriously, you totally rock. i have been getting those pathetic hush hush looks - you know - the "poor dear just can't have a baby" looks for the past four years. bottom line is that we need a miracle or $10K. the $10K in itself would be a miracle. nonetheless. we had all of te tests run when i had a fab job with fab insurance that would cover IVF. due to family reasons i had to relocate two weeks before starting the process and i could not afford to cobra my insurance. bummer. get your man tested. once in a cup and your mind and heart knows what to deal with. my hubby and i have custody of his 13 yr old from a previous marriage. we thought the prob was me. it's not. total male factor. even tho he has other kiddos there's no telling what that little army is doing now. my dearly beloved was in a coma for several months and underwent several emergency surgeries with lots of radiation which depleated his little troopers. it was a doctor screw up all the way. a 20/20 horror story - man goes in for out patient procedure and wakes up months later without a clue how to walk and talk. the past seven years have been a rebuilding process for him. but, that being beside the point. i know your pain. we've been praying for a miracle for years and doing our part - practice makes perfect. oh, and i agree with the valum for the die test. when i had mine done the balloon snapped inside of me. talk about a whole other level of hurt! holy crap! good luck with all that you are doing. i wish you the flutter of a blessing inside you! do you ever reply to these?

Kelly,
I heard you say that you were going to have the dye test. You may want to ask your doctor to prescribe valium or something like that because it is a painful test and being a little more relaxed will probably help. All that said, I had the test done and it found that one of my ovaries was adhered to the uterine wall. I went in for a laparoscopy and got pregnant 3 months later. We have a healthy 19 month son now and am pregnant again.

Hang in there -
Kam

p.s. By the way - I was born in Florence, SC at the McLeod Infirmary - 1964

And VIOLA pg the 1st month afterwards! I now have 4 kids ages 6 and under. 3 of them are Clomid/Dye Test babies :) I am a member at www.pregnancy.org and it's got a great online support and we'd love to have you!

Hi Kellie-
I heard you talking about the possibility of having the DYE TEST! After battiling infertility for 2 1/2 years wonderful doctor suggested we have the dye test to check my tubes for obstruction. I agreed to this test and went in like a lamb to the slaughter. I took the two Advil as suggested. I got into the room and the process began. I think I may have blocked some of it out as a coping method but I do remember one thing. THE EXCRUCIATING PAIN!!!! I got pregnant a couple of months later and have a wonderful 18 month old daughter named Ella. That said, I have to tell you that having Ella hurt MUCH less than the dye test. I have never experienced pain like that. Ask for some good drugs if you decide to go through with it. I hope you are pregnant and don't need it. Keep your hopes high, Kellie. But don't forget to enjoy your life in the mean time. I got pregnant a couple weeks after we decided to quit trying and go to Europe. I still haven't seen Europe but I get to see my daughter's sweet face everyday.

Hi Kellie,

I heard you mention that you get those annoying herpes sores by your nose. A lot of people DO call them canker sores and don't even realize they have a herpes virus or how common it is. I also get a break out, though fortunately, not often.

I have learned how to control the unsightly sore that usually develops. As soon as I feel the tingling or itching that announces there's about to be an outbreak, I start applying neosporin. I also am very gentle with the tissues. Recently, with all the allergens in the air, I started sneezing a lot and had to keep using tissues. I started to get that strange tingling, and knew the herpes virus was about to come out of its dormant state so, I tried what I've done the last few times I felt an outbreak coming on, and it stopped before it started. I never got the sore, and the tingling has gone away. I'm still being careful with the tissues just in case I'm not completely home free.

Dr's prescriptions never helped, but the neosporin and being gentle with the nose, did. You may have your own remedy, but I thought I'd share mine.

PS. I really enjoy you on the show. You're witty, of course, but I love your common sense approach, and your ability to "tell it like it is" ... Plus, you tame the guys if they go to crude or mean. Through it all, you seem sensitive to other people's feelings which I admire.

Take care,

Kathy

Hi Kellie,
My son and I were a part of the Hate Crime movie also. I was browsing to see if they had a website and found a pic of my son on there. Well, the back of his head but we are still excited about it!! There was a scene that Bruce Davidson had reading a Bible story to some kids. It’s in the photo gallery 1 on the website and the only one that looks like Bruce is reading to kids. My son is in the front row with dark brown hair and dark blue shirt directly in front on Bruce. They needed a church secretary that day to. No pic of me on the website however would have been a great still shot of Robbie rushing in the middle of a bible study we were suppose to be having and trying to kick Chris’ butt for killing his lover. There were only 4 of us at the table so hopefully I will be seen to. I am the one lady wearing a green silk shirt. I noticed that you got a part to and then got more excited cause I listen to you every morning!! I never heard yall talking about you in the movie. I tried to call this morning to talk to you about it but they wouldn’t put me through. FIRE THEM!! HAHAHA!! I hope you are successful in getting pregnant. It’s a wonderful experience although uncomfortable at times. Being a mother of an 8 and 3 years old, I hope you can experience what I have with my little ones. The mommy bit always cracks me up because it always reminds me of my kids at times. HAHAHA! Of course they don’t ask for kegs!! Keep up the great work. From my family to yours………….take care and hope to meet you soon!!!!

i just happen to have a carton of epsom salt on my desk (dont ask why) and its known for two of its properties: as a soaking aid for minor sprains and bruises, and as a salin laxitive. But what i hear from my highschool friends that it really tastes bad and have bad effects when put in a drink and actually drank it. So you might want to try this if you could spare time and some will-power to drink some epsom salt--oh and no garauntees :-D

Hey Kelly,

I wanted to call in this morning about your boul problems. Anyhow, I have an idea for you...try the three apple a day diet. All that you have to do is eat an apple about 1/2 an hour before you eat a meal, three times a day. They don't have to be big apples either, but this should definitely help you.

Kellie, the dye test is the FIRST thing your doctor should have done! I had it done and took a low dose of Clomid at the same time. The test was done the last week of January and I found out I was pregnant March 16th. That was almost nine years ago!
DO IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!! I know it will work. Feel free to contact me. I'm not a stalker, haha! I wish only the best, because I "tried" for 18 months before I had the test. I wish I had done it earlier.
Best wishes, Margaret

Kelly- I heard you this morning talking about your upcoming dye test with your doctor. I am an OB/GYN nurse and I too, once had issues getting pregnant. My doctor did the dye test (Hysterosalpingography)on me and I got pregnant the same month. Not only did this work for me for that pregnancy, but we did it again 2 years later and again I got pregnant. This test works, I would say 7 out of ten times. It is a joke around the office and we refer to it as "cleaning the pipes". Do the test Kelly and it could be the month for you. Just make sure after the test you start doing "laundry" at least every two days. Good luck, I hope it works.

I have an adorable, 3 year old cousin in Arizona who is dieing from an extremely rare disease called Sanfilippo Syndrome. Lauren will lose all mobility and brain function within the next few years and will die by the time she is a teenager. She is already losing her hearing and her eyesight and her joints are already starting to harden. There is a procedure that only Duke University is doing that can save her life by stopping the progression, but she must have it done now. They will not do the procedure if we wait more than another month or so because she will be too far deteriorated. The problem is that this procedure costs $600,000 and the insurance company has refused to pay even a small portion of it. We have less than a month to raise $600,000 because Duke University will not even begin the necessary testing until they have the money. The news stations in Arizona have been very helpful and are doing what they can to help raise the funds. I also would like to do all that I can to help by having a yard sale/car wash/bake sale on Saturday, September 25 starting at 8:00 am. Destiny RV Park in Corinth, TX (right off of I35) has agreed to allow us to have the sale and carwash on their grounds. I am asking for donations of unwanted items/baked goods that can be sold at the sale to benefit Lauren. Please cut and paste the link below from a website called Caringbridge into your address bar to learn more about this disease and to read Lauren's story. If anyone has any items they can donate, please email me at dayna@cdjennings.com or call me, Dayna Jennings, at 940-365-3432 and I will go pick them up. There is also a benefit fund set up for Lauren Sutton Reed at Bank of America that anyone can contribute to. Thank you in advance for any contribution that you may be able to give. I am praying that, with help from others, we can save Lauren’s life.

Hi Kellie,
I know that since last year you have been trying to get pregnant. I just wanted to offer a little help. Last year when you got married I had just found out that I was pregnant. Me and my husband went on a trip to Disneyworld and when I returned home I found that I had a missed misscarriage and I lost the baby. In November I had a D & C and started immediately trying again. With no success until now. I have been trying for almost a year and no luck. We went through all the tests, the bloodwork, everything. And I just found out Saturday that I am finally pregnant. So I just wanted to let you know to give it time. It will happen, I also wanted to offer thei to you, this is the website that helped me out more than any other one it is

I just read your diary entry for today. Happy Anniversary!!!! May you celebrate many more. Don't feel bad, I had the same argument with my hubby for our first anniversary. I had arranged for a nice dinner and a night on the town for just us two and you know what, he decided he wanted it to be a group thing. I pitched a fit and gave the exact same argument. IT IS OUR 1ST ANNIVERSARY!!! Next year, who cares what we do, but this one is the most special. I didn't win though, all of our couple friends that he invited out without my knowledge took us out to dinner and then out dancing. It was fun, but not something intimate between just us two like I wanted. Oh well. We celebrate our 6th on September 18.

Just tell her you are sorry she's having a difficult time and stop trying to find solutions for her. I am sure she has thought of all of them, too.

Oh, and the poster who had the nerve to suggest that perhaps it is God's plan for her to "rescue" a child by adoption? You are an idiot.

Kellie - I just felt led to send you a note to let you know that I whish you the best with your decision to have a child. I know you get discouraged and I understand but have you ever thought about this from a different angle. I know it is a dream of yours to have a child but you know, there are a lot of women out there who give birth, and for whatever reason, don't or can't raise a child. Have you ever thought that maybe God means for you to "rescue" a child through adoption? I don't mean to get in your business but it is just a thought. You are such a dear and geniune person, I hate to see you hurting. Maybe this is an option if in the future things don't work out for you. I am sure adoption can be scary, Steven Curtis Chapman has a really good organization I am sure you have heard of. You might look them up sometime. Anyway, good luck to you in whatever you do.

I had problems getting pregnant also! We had tried for almost 4 years. I was 20 and my husband was 34 and I had been diagnosed with PCOS. Finally, on April 27, 2003, our lives were devistated to come home to our house burning down to the ground. We, along with our 4 year old daughter, Raena, moved in with my parents. We lived with them for almost 2 months...two hard months. During those two months, all we had was each other and put getting pregnant on the "back burner". well, three weeks after we moved into our new house, I found out I was pregnant!! Well, my mother knows how to do math, and was thrilled, but not so thrilled >-) !! I guess all it took was our mind getting taken off that problem. We now have a beautiful 6 month old daughter, Harleigh!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

Hey, everybody!

I appreciate all the nice messages and emails I've gotten about trying to get pregnant. I never thought I'd be one of THOSE women, you know? That's what I get for putting it off so long...

But I have faith in modern medicine and faith that God intends for me to be a mother -- naturally or otherwise. And I'm thankful that I've got two great stepkids.

I know there was a problem with a lot of people getting their "Save That!" CDs quickly. Apparently there was a bigger demand than they anticipated and we ran out! So there was a little gap there where they had to press more copies. If you're still having trouble, email me at kellierasberry@yahoo.com and I'll try to track it down for you.

And to answer one of the questions posted, my talent agency is The Horne Agency in Dallas.

And if anybody has anything private they want to ask me and not post it here, you can always email me at kellierasberry@yahoo.com.

Hello, Kelly how are you? I'd just like to say that I'm new to this state and was first introduced to your show through my grand daughter who has been listening for nearly 7 years now. At first I didn't want to listen but then after the first five minutes I began to like the show more and more. And then I became exceptionally interested when I heard that you were having a hard time getting pregnant. I heard the methods you've tried and the doctors you've seen and I just want to tell you that none of them will work. But take that the work way now! I mean you'll get pregnant if you follow my procedure. It won't cost you your life insurance or you taking medication while your ovulating to do it. No, my procedure is absolutly granteed! I no it will work. I've helped plenty of women in your condition get pregnant and now I want to help you. Now I know your probably asking how much? And how do I know it will work? Well sweetie I'll tell you right now, I will not charge you a single penny! And I have absolute faith in this procedure.

This does not cost you dime! There is no shipping fees or anything like that. All you have to do is call me and I will tell you what to do. I can't tell you in this e-mail b/c I'm not sure if this will get to you or not. But please give me call, because when you think about it, you really don't have many options available to you. SO just send me an e-mail and I will give you the details.

Thank You Very Much,

Just wanted to say that I just moved to Baton Rouge about a month ago from Clinton, SC. Just down the road from Greenville. I listen to Kidd Kraddick every morning on the way to taking my daughter to daycare and back to work. You all keep me laughing, but when I hear you, I think of home. :)

Kellie~

Just want you to know I'm rooting for you. I'm 31 and trying to have a baby (on clomid too and man the HOT flashes are wild). Anyway, I chart everyday on a website I absolutely love and have a terrific group of online bud's that help encourage me. Just wanted to drop you some encouragement. I relate to you as well not only because we're both near the same age and on clomid but I too grew up in Christian Schools, and I've been to visit Liberty University!

Anyway, wishing you the BEST!

Today is Monday August 16th, 2004 and this morning I heard you talking about how you don't know how to put in the formulas. It is very simple. Everything starts with =SUM. Then whatever you need to do is put in parethisis. So if you need to add, subtract, divide or mulitiply you click on the cell that you need to use. Example: if you needed to add B2 and C5 it would look like this: =SUM(B2+C5) then hit enter and it automatically does it for you. So then you just change the sign for whatever you need to do. Very, very simple. If you have any questions about it just e-mail me back and I'll help you with whatever it is you need help with. See ya and I hope this helps you.

I was just on MSN and read that the best time to conceive is between 5-5:30 pm. That is when the male's sperm count is higher.

I just thought I'd pass along some info on getting pregnant. I'm not sure if you really check this or not, but here it goes.
My son is almost one, and while I didn't have a problem getting pregnant some of my friends did. What finally worked for them is the 10 thru 20. Chart your cycle and have laundry everyday from day 10 thru 20 of your cycle. I can't confirm this method personally, but two friends used it and it worked within the first two months. Good luck, and God bless.

KELLIE,This message is for Kidd you know the one who pushes the carts across the parking lot. Last summer my son had a heat stroke from doing the job of chasing the carts down and putting them back where they belong. Do you have any idea how hard those guys work that do that job? Well, I almost lost my son he was in a coma a wk from working so hard on that parking lot. He is doing great now Thanks to alot of PRAYERS. So Big Al THANK YOU for returning your carts to the proper place. Just think if everyone would take two extra steps and return them or bring one in when you come in how nice it would be. I try to leave my cart if I don't need it because some mom with a small child would love to have a cart that isn't hot from setting in the sun until they can manage to get a few returned to the store. So Kidd think about it would you! I think Kidd should do the next Big Al attack spot he should have to go chase some carts down for about an hour in the middle of the day. Thanks for listening I knew if I sent this to you and you thought about it then you would see to that Kidd had the chance to think about some of the things he does. Love you kidd really do you make me laugh with all the silly things you say. This on time I quess it just hit a raw nerve. LOVE your show it starts my day off with lots of smiles. Kellie, I really hope you find mother hood soon and when you do watch your weight you will need all of your energy for all that new energy that little one will have.

Dear Kellie,
I am so hopeful that you and Freddie have a baby really soon. But Kellie, PLEASE don't overdo it on the weight gain!!! I never ate healthier than when I was pregnant for my 2 kids. My husband and I had just opened a convenience store and I worked there during the summer and I had to just about sit on my hands to keep unhealthy food out of my mouth. The temptation was unbelievable, but I knew how easily I would gain weight, and since I've struggled to keep my weight down since I was 14, I knew that I would only HATE myself in the long run if I over-did it. For my first, I gained 24 pounds ( 7 lb. 13 oz. baby) and for the second, I only gained 17 (6 lb. 10 oz baby). For the last one, in the early 80's doctors were very, very skeptical of large weight gains. I know they've changed their thinking in the last 23 years, because now they 'allow' you and even encourage you to gain more than that. But Kellie, you are WAY too close to 40 to take gaining weight so lightly. If you only KNEW how hard it is to lose it the older you get!!!

Now, this isn't about me setting you straight, but, rather I would like to share this with you: Have you thought of breast-feeding? I KNOW you hate the idea of doing it in public, but the only time in my LIFE that I was EVER able to eat without abandon was when I was breast-feeding. I only did it about 3 weeks for each child, and the weight gain was not an issue. Just think about it. Besides giving your baby a big boost to his/her immune system, you get the added bonus of EATING for a purpose. The weight will come off, and you will be a happy Kellie with a healthy baby.

I hope we here good news from you soon on the show!!
Good luck with the gym opening!

Thankfully, I can still listen to part of the show online, which I do every morning at work. And I ALWAYS read your diary! I love reading your honest, insightful entries. I really admire you for sharing your pregnancy struggles with everyone. I have been married two years and have already been told that I have infertility problems. I'm not quite ready for children yet, but I know that it's going to be a real struggle. So I appreciate hearing what you're trying...and the ups and downs of it all.

Hey again, everybody!

It's been so fun doing these CD signings over the past couple weeks. I do remember little Willow and I know she's going to bring me good luck as we keep on trying to have a little baby of our own. I'll tell you what...I've been seeing so many sweet little baby boys lately, I'm thinking I'll be quite happy with whatever God decides to give us. I told Freddie I'd let him name our son, and right now he says he likes the names Nicholas and Alexander. We would HAVE to call them either Nick or Alex, though. That's a big mouthful with Pooladsanj tacked onto the end!

Speaking of faulty eyelash curlers, I remember a long, long time ago -- about two days before I was supposed to fly to LA to be on Wheel of Fortune -- I was curling my eyelashes when my hand slipped and I ripped out half an eyelid of eyelashes. I can't tell you how weird that looked...Thankfully, they all grew back just fine.

Freddie set the opening date for his new karate school! We'll open the doors on August 23. It's such an ordeal getting this place ready for business! If you could see it right now, you'd think NO WAY are they going to be ready. But we plan on rocking and rolling this week with some construction and electrical work. I just keep the checkbook open...

Thanks for checking out this site. I told Jason I'll shoot him over some new pictures as soon as I can sit my butt down behind the photo scanner. Believe it or not, we still have a dial-up connection...It's a looooong process getting him any new stuff.

After this morning's bit about DANGEROUS STRAWS!!!---
Read this --
Company Recalls Eyelash Curlers

The W.E. Bassett Company is recalling 220,000 eyelash curlers because the plastic handles can detach and cause injury to the eyes and face.

Eleven injuries have been reported, including abrasions, contusions and bruising in and around the eye, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.

The "Frosted Grip" curlers have pink plastic handles and a rubber refill pad. They were sold under multiple brand names including TRIM and Salon Plus.

There are no identifying marks on the curlers, but the packaging has item numbers printed on it, varying by store: 5-87B (sold at Wal-Mart, CVS and Shopko), 5-87RA (sold at Rite Aid) and 5-87S (sold at Kroger).

The eyelash curlers, which were made in China, were sold nationwide from September 2003 to June 2004 for $3 to $4. They were sold at CVS, Meijer, Kroger, Rite Aid, SaveMart, Shopko, and Wal-Mart.

Consumers should stop using the product immediately and contact the Shelton, Conn., company for a prepaid mailer to return the eyelash curler for a free replacement and a $5 off coupon for any TRIM product.

Kellie - with all of the cranky baby commotion, we forgot to give this to you last night at B&N. Good Luck!

There is a dot on my face that you can hardly miss. My Mommy says it's an angel's kiss. Doctors can fix it with a nip and a tuck, but Mommy says no, it's a sign of good luck. It won't help with greed, it won't make you wealthy, it is more for luck to make you happy and healthy. A baby you want, a little girl at that, by the way Kellie, you are NOWHERE NEAR FAT! :) Willow River is my name, and since you touched my belly, a bouncing baby you'll have to love, my friend Kelly. I hope my angel's kiss brings you happiness and fertility.

Kelly,

I just wanted to wish you and your husband the best of luck on getting pregnant. I'm very proud for you hearing that your not allowing the negative things that people have to say about the whole thing discourage you one bit. I'm only 23 and a single mother of 2 wonderful boys. I wouldln't trade one day with them for all the money in the world. I'm not saying it's not hard sometimes with having no help but every morning my five year old wakes up and the first thing out of his mouth is "Good mornig mom" and he always tells me that he loves me for no reason. He could be watching T.V. and will just turn around and tell me. That right there makes all the struggles every bit worth it. To see the two interact with eachother is PRICELESS. I hope all goes well with your husband and yourself. GOD BLESS!

Okay Kelly, I've been through the same thing you are giong through trying to get pregnant. My doctor is Dr. Mark Godat and he had me chart my temperature and take a series of blood tests. I was also on the Clomid. He finally, after months of charting and Clomid, gave me dates to have sex. In early August of 2001 I told my husband if we didn't get pregnant that month we'd wait until the first of 2002 as we were going to Central America in December to see his family. Since it was August I needed to be pregnant by the end of the month so that I could travel. Sure enough I put it out of my mind, still having sex on the days my doctor told me to, and poof I was pregnant two weeks later. My point is, and I know this will be hard, put it out of your mind. Also, see if your doctor will give you days to have sex based on your ovulation schedule. Many people think you should have sex none stop during your ovulation and that's not true. Your chances are ususally not any better and sometimes worse if you do that. Keep your head up and I know you'll be pregnant sooner than you think.

I love getting in the car everymorning to hear what you have planned to talk about. My favorite would have to be the Hick-Hop sauga that was going with you and Al. I am not sure if that is an old segment, I think this was being aired while you were all on vacation. The reason I loved the whole idea of it is, I am married to a Black man, and we just got the biggest kick out of the whole thing. However my mood swings when I am on Clomid are AWEFUL! Then I begin to take the other medication when I start to ovulate, which makes life okay again, until I stop taking that. Are you having any side effects from it? And if so how is Freddie handeling it? Please help! I don't want a divorce from the mood swings, the are so bad that he really doesn't want to even try when we do ovulate. I am trying to control them but find it difficult.

Kellie:

I have been listening to the show for quite some time and have wanted to write to you about infertility but have held off. Today I heard you talking about a little baby girl from China that was placed for adoption and decided that today was the day that I would write to you. I am the mother of 2 incredibly beautiful children, Brett and Kylie, both of whom were adopted through the Gladney Center in Fort Worth. Prior to becoming a family, my husband, Neal and I, struggled with infertility for 5 years. I have heard you discuss the passing months of trying to get pregnant and I just want to assure you that you are not alone in your frustration and/or fear about not getting pregnant. Month after month it is necessary to "gear up" for what was once done for nothing but pleasure (not that it is not pleasurable but "it" serves another purpose these days!) The month seems extremely long when waiting to see if you possibly managed to conceive.....and when you haven't the cycle repeats itself. I likened infertility to the movie Groundhog Day - same thing, month after month. More importantly than sharing your infertility frustration I wanted to share something with you that really changed my life during our struggle with infertility. Neal and I discussed adoption and knew that we were both completely open to it - the mere fact that I knew I would be a mother someday, someway set me free. I allowed myself to dream about the nursery, discuss names, etc. without reigning myself back in. The amazing thing was that as soon as Neal and I began the adoption process doors and windows flew open for us - we experienced nothing but JOY and through 2 adoptions not one single glitch. I know that in many ways we are the exception to the rule but Kellie know that God already has your family planned. Your son/daughter is waiting for the right time and whether it is through conception or adoption, you will find each other. I firmly believe with all of my heart and soul, Neal and I waited for Brett and Kylie and our family is complete.

Sorry this email is like a saga, but I didn't know where else to write to you. I look forward to hearing your updates and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey everybody!

Just got back from 2 weeks vacation, and now I have enough energy to try to catch up with all these postings!!

I appreciate all the information on fertility and poopy problems. I did a round of the Clomid this month, but I'm afraid Freddie and I missed our window of opportunity thanks to his ill-timed boys weekend in Montana...

I do like www.fertilityfriend.com, but once I found out I wasn't ovulating, I quit doing the temperature thing. I'm just sticking with Clomid and ovulation kits.

I think I found the answer to my other little problem. Doesn't this sound gross -- bran flakes, prune juice and apple sauce!! I mix them all together and eat it like a bowl of cereal OR I let it set for an hour and it turns into a cold, mushy oatmeal sort of thing. The first few times I ate it, it was rather weird...but I got used to it. Most importantly, it works!

That gay piano bar is called The Hideway and it's off Fitzhugh and 75 in Dallas. It caters to a slightly older crowd, and my friend doesn't perform there anymore. So I don't know what's going on there now...

Freddie and I have been busy getting ready to open his karate school next month. I spent Sunday afternoon trying to paint his office as a surprise for when he gets back from Montana. They make painting look so easy on "Trading Spaces," don't they? It was a nightmare!! It looks awful right now, but I'm hoping a second coat will work a miracle. I also cleaned the men's bathroom -- yuck!! -- and would have done the women's, except that toilet needs to be fixed...We've got more painting to do and we've got to put up mirrors and put in a huge karate mat and buy office furniture and hang punching bags and lots of other stuff that is absolutely overwhelming us both! But it's going to be great. Keep checking his website for details -- www.freddiepoole.com. We've got a phone number, and I promise we'll actually have a phone hooked up in there this week!!

I hope ya'll have an awesome week! Thanks for checking out the website that Jason works so hard on!!

Sarah,
Sorry for such a late reply but since the show has been on vacation neither one of us has checked the message board. I am sure Kellie is going to try and read up this weekend if time permits!

TV Theme Show Song...Let me see if I can remember this..I think there was a contest where they were giving away a neon or something...and these people in the car had to guess the name of a tv theme show song...Well..Everytime they would guess they would name some current hit, not a theme show song...Kellie...getting very frusturated screamed "Tv theme show song!" at the top of her lungs! lol. I wish I had the clip to post on the web but I will have to look for it...I had it imprinted in one of those Teddy Bears you make at the mall and everytime you squeeze it's hand it says that and it was part of a bday gift for Kell.

Kellie,

I heard about your poo-poo problem this week on the 'best-of' radio shows. Let me tell you...I understand how completely frustrating and limiting this problem can be at times. God bless...it can make you wanna scream at times. And it can also lead to serious problems as you get older.

Before you think I'm some weirdo in radio-land (heh!),I've listened to you guys for at least 5 years now starting when I first moved to Dallas from Monroe, La. I've since moved back to La.

I was deeply touched by the charity work you guys do for the kids. Given my no-choice southern religious background, I usually identify with your perceptions and opinions. I've since grown and learned more about the real world, so I don't agree with a lot of those conservative religious ideas, so I don't always agree with you,but I know where you are coming from.

ANYWAY...back to the poo-poo problem. I really have found something that works.

For years, I've tried everything under the sun. Every fiber product you can imagine, from powders and mixes to cereals, etc.. Nothing worked. Everyone said, drink water. Well, like you said, I drink so much water I feel like a sieve sometimes. I drink over a gallon a day now.
While this is obviously good for your health, that alone doesnt work either.

So, then I thought, I come from a family of worry-warts and just get tense and wound up more than the average person, so that must be the problem. Well, this led to the meditation and increased workout routines, but still this was not a complete solution either.

I have been to the point of tears over this life-long frustration on more occassions than I care to remember. I have felt like it dominates my life and prevents me from enjoying things like other people.

Finally, after recently discovering blood in the wrong places - I freaked out! So, I finally broke down and went to the gastro-doc for a checkup. This was not pleasant to say the least. Not pleasant at all. Did I mention how NOT PLEASANT THIS WAS? heh!

BUT, after discovering that there was nothing seriously wrong, like cancer, etc... the doc suggested I try some new chewable tablets. I told him I was very, very much oppossed to getting adicted to any drug. He told me that this new tablet from Phillips was totally non-addictive.

I told him that the liquid milk of magnesia makes me puke when I take it too. I can't even gag that liquid down. He said a lot of people have that same issue, but that these new Phillips Chewable Tabs can actually be swallowed whole or chewed, so you don't have that wierd taste and feel of the liquid. Well..I finally relented and tried it.

Kellie...this has finally brought relief to my life. It has changed my attitude and overall health dramatically. I literally feel like a new person many days.

Here's the solution....which can be tweaked to suit your system's responses and needs. The tablets aren't cheap, $6.50 for 100. TOTALLY WORTH IT!

*Every other morning or so, when you get out of bed, chew 4 tablets with your morning coffee. It will work. Drink a glass of water too.

*Before many of your regular meals, take a couple of these non-addictive tablets with some water or tea.

I have found that my system has more or less returned to normal. When I suspect that things aren't quite right...I do the above routine for a few days and it's like freakin magic.

I smile again. I'm relaxed and I feel happy. This freakin worked for me....I hope it helps you too.

Ok...I sincerely hope this works for you. I guess there is no way that this will not come across as weird, but, who cares...those who suffer from this problem understand the sheer stress and frustration and will try anything for normalcy.

Keep up the good work for the kids. You guys make me feel good just knowing there are people like you doing this critical charity work. Whether you know it or not, your work represents the good-potential that we all possess. It makes me imagine what the world could be like, if everyone cared enough to help those who cannot help themselves. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for your efforts.

Kellie, I heard your show on Friday before you left for vacation, and I just wanted you to know that you shouldn't give up hope of conceiving.....I have poly-cystic ovary syndrome and my doctor said I was not ovulating.

My husband and I tried to get pregnant for nearly two years when I finally went on Clomid. I took 5 cycles of Clomid, and two cycles of Clomid and Metformin, and we finally conceived. We have a beautiful, healthy, perfect eight month old daughter.

I can't imagine the heartbreak of infertility when the entire metroplex is listening in. You're very brave for sharing your struggle. Good luck to you - I hope the Clomid works as well for you as it did for us!

Kellie:

Congrats on your pregnancy! It took us 3 years to get pregnant. We now have a happy, healthy, 12 year old.

I have been a fan of "yours" for 5 year after moving here from Tennessee. My hat is off to any woman who can calmly deal with so much testrosterone, not loose their cool, and slam someone with a smile in their voice. You are truly a Southern woman!!!!

No obligation, no promotion, or anything else but I thought you might be interested in talking about a business I recently started selling chemical free foods. They are blast frozen and vacuum sealed to maintain nutrients and freshness.

I don't expect to hear from you but, if nothing else, PLEASE READ the latest Readers Digest article on "How Safe is Our Food?" It brought tears to my eyes (for many different reasons). After you have read the article, and if you are interested, please give me a call.

I can be reached at M&M Food Service 972-333-2794.

I am located in Rowlett but have customers all over Dallas and the surrounding areas.

I hope you had a great vacation and look forward to hearing from you.

Once again, congrats to you and Freddie.

Kellie,

Good luck in your quest to get pregnant. I am currently pregnant and due in a few weeks. The month I concieved was very soon after you talked about the Robitussin method on the air and decided to give it a try. I also recommend using an ovulation prediction kit (they are next to the home pregnancy tests at the drug store or walmart). I ovulate on day 16 and that helped me make sure when and that I was ovulating.
My mother-in-law is a nurse at one of the best RE's in the USA at Presbeterian (sp?)Hospital. If you ever are told that you need to see and RE, please feel free to email me and I can pass along his name.
Good luck with the Clomid!!! I hope it works for you, and soon!!!

Hi Kellie,
My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for 1 year before I started taking Clomid. On my 3rd month of taking Clomid I got pregnant!! I know it will work for you too. Just beware; Clomid can make you feel crazy. It's like every emotion that you have is intensified by 100%. My doctor said that it's different with everyone, so hopefully it won't make you feel like that. Good Luck!!

Kellie, just wanted to let you know that my family and I drive everywhwere too for the same reasons you mentioned this morning on the show (its cheaper and its nice to have a car). We drove to Puerto Vallarta (24 hour drive!) about 2 weeks ago and its funny to see the reaction people have when we tell them we drove from Texas. One couple said to us "I didn't know that was possible!" Believe it or not, those trips have brought us closer as a family (I have 10 year-old twins-boy & girl) and we actually look forward to them. We try to make it fun by taking lots of road games, but its also nice to have a tv/vcr in the van and my son loves to play on his Gameboy so that keeps him entertained for awhile. Still when we have been in the van for a long time, that all familiar question always arises: "Are we there yet?!!" Hope you have a WONDERFUL time!

Hey Kelly...

Yall's talk made me wonder myself, so I looked it up.
Here ya go:

Yankee Doodle
Why did yankee doodle stick a feather in his hat and call it macaroni? Back in Pre-Revolutionary America when the song "Yankee Doodle" was first popular, the singer was not referring to the pasta "macaroni" in the line that reads "stuck a feather in his hat and called it macaroni". "Macaroni" was a fancy ("dandy") style of Italian dress widely imitated in England at the time. So by just sticking a feather in his cap and calling himself a "Macaroni" (a "dandy"), Yankee Doodle was proudly proclaiming himself to be a country bumpkin, because that was how the English regarded most colonials at that time. But times have long since changed, and it is important to reflect on the fact that despite the turbulent early relationship between England and the American colonists, our two countries are strongly united.

If You Want a Boy...

> Eat more meat (the redder the better).
> Stick with salty snacks — pretzels, chips, and so on.
> Dads-to-be: Stock up on soda (especially cola drinks).

If You Want a Girl...

> Both partners should eat lots of fish and veggies.
> Give in to your chocolate craving (or just eat sweets in general).

Kellie,
I want to wish you the best of luck with getting pregnant. I had my first child 19 months ago. I went on Prenatal vitamins about a year before conception. I activally tried to get pregnant for three months (cking temperature, nightly affairs the whole week the ovulation was expected, lifting my pelvis in the air after affairs). I wanted a baby BAD!!! After three months me and my husband decided that if it was going to happen it would happen so I went back to work in February and found out I was 2 weeks pregnant in March. I really believe that if you stress about it that it effects your ability. Try not to think about it so much (I KNOW THAT THIS IS EASIER SAID THAN DONE).

Kelly - love the show! I listen to you guys every morning on the way in to work. Quite a number of my girlfriends have had a tough time getting pregnant. Of course, everyone is well over thirty! Besides all of the fertility treatments that they went through, a few of them changed their diets and also started taking Juice Plus (adds more nutrtion from fresh, raw fruits and vegetables to your daily diet). I'm very proud to say, that one of my closest girlfriends (whom had the most difficulty over 7 years) gave birth to a beautiful baby boy 2 weeks ago and she had also been on Juice Plus. Hi Kellie,
Wow you get so many emails how do you keep up? So I guess here is another. I know that there's a spot in this world for me, somewhere I could shine. Looking at my daughter I see only what I as a child was (energetic, full of life, and thought only of the world as a bed of roses for me to lye in). I only hope that she can find her spot and be given the opportunity to shine forever, but in doing so I wish to show her what it looks like to shine. So, here it is in a nutshell. Kellie can you help me to do what you do (RADIO)I know I would be perfect and most of all happy (not that I'm not happy now, but you know "HAPPY") . A shot is all I'm asking for. Not only to show my daughter what can happen when you just try, but to re-live the feeling of life and the bed of roses.

Thanks So Much,

This is from the other end of the fertility spectrum. I am 35 and can't get pregnant. If you end up having to go a step further than a regular OB b/c of fertility problems, you might want to not give the listening public the blow by blow. You will wish you hadn't b/c it can be VERY stressful and VERY private. If you tell everyone your are starting treatment you have to tell everyone the results and sometimes they aren't positive. I learned the hard way.

I, along with millions of other infertile women wish you the best of luck. I hope you just need a jump start and not extended treatment.

Kellie

Take a Natural Family Planning class to learn about the Billings Method. NO temperature taking. We were taught that was not an accurate way to tell when you are fertile. The class will teach you how to read your body's own signs on when you are fertile/when you are not fertile. Your body tells you when you are ready. You just have to learn how to chart your cycle. It has helped women who think they are barren to conceive.

It works. I knew when I was fertile and I got pregnant instantly.

I hope you try this. I really do hope you get to become a mother. I know you'd make a great mom. -Tina
