Kelly, here is a great bit idea. Follow me as I try to win a wedding on ESPN.
We need your help in getting married! That’s right – you can help us to get married!!!!!!!
Here’s the scoop. Winndell and I entered the “marriage maddness” contest on ESPN radio show Mike and Mike in the morning. There were about 500 entries, and we were selected as one of the 16 finalists!!!!!!! The winning couple wins “the ultimate sports wedding” held at the ESPN headquarters in Bristol, CT on May 26. so if we win – we get married on the air at ESPN radio!!! How cool would that be – to have an LSU wedding broadcast across America! Here’s where you come in – people log onto the website and vote for the winner. We need your vote! (and everyone else you can possibly tell!)
Now the details (read carefully here) – each day on Mike & Mike in the morning show they will present 2 couples. Listners log on to the website and vote for the couple they think should advance to the next round. Our day is TUESDAY, MARCH 21. That is the magic day – TUESDAY, MARCH 21. you must log on www.espnradio.com go to the marriage maddness page and VOTE FOR US! Voting is only open from 7am-5pm (central time) ON TUESDAY. You will be able to read our submission and see a picture. If we win on that day and make it to the next round (Top 8), you will vote again and be able to see a video we submitted. There will be 4 rounds of voting before the winner is selected. Please keep checking your email for the next couple of weeks to see our progress. Hopefully we will need you to keep voting. I will send out another email if we make it to the next round.
So here’s what you do right now – (1) write yourself a reminder, mark your calendar, to vote for us on TUESDAY, MARCH 21 – don’t let yourself forget (2) send this to everyone you know, and tell everyone you talk to – family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, church friends, check-out clerks in the grocery store, everyone! We need everyone with a computer to vote!!!!!! Also, let them know that you may be in touch to vote again.

If you would like to listen to the radio show it is broadcast on ESPN radio across the country. New Orleans - 1280AM; Lafayette – KPEL 1420AM; Houma – KJIN 1490AM, Houston – KBME 790AM. If you are not in one of these areas, simply log on to www.espnradio.com click on mike and mike in the morning and click on the link to find your station. Also, the radio show is broadcast on TV every morning from 5am-9am (central time) on ESPN2.
