Jeff summed up the trip pretty well. I will acknowledge a slight setback on the fishing this year personnally, and give kudos to the new TEMPORARY fishkiller Jeff. I new I was in trouble during the first two days at the lake and we noticed a lot more osprey than usual on the lake, probably four, not including me. This lake aint big enough for four normal and one BIG Osprey. Not enough fish in the lake.

Jeff did neglect to mention the one notable large mouth bass he caught. No, not the one that he is getting mounted, I am talking about the three inch one, that he caught on his four inch lure. We do have pictures I think.

Fishing was tough this year probably do the water conditions. Nothing new to Joe, who is use to dealing with tough fishing conditions, and trailing the pack, but even Joe stooped to new lows. Yes,came up with a new fishing technique, when you can't catch them on your lure, hook, simply lasso the fish with your line. Yes, Joe caught a sunny not on his hook but somehow got the fish tangled in his line and pulled the fish in. If Joe can
perfect this approach, maybe he can move up to bigger fish.

Speaking of Joe; Jeff and I were able to convince him this year to get rid of his spiderwire and use regular mono this year. Did seem to improve his fish catchin ability but somehow it made him forget how to cast. If you sat next to Joe on the boat you were bound to get wet and have to duck a few times as Joe on too numerous occasions forgot to take his finger off the reel when he casted. Maybe this is tied into the 8 cases of beer Jeff mentioned. Anyway, jeff and I will work on that next year. One step at a time for Joe, can not overwhelm him with too many changes in one year.

Well, the planning begins for next year reviewing the new lures, and fine tuning our fishing skills. Jeff enjoy the fishing title, for your reign will be brief.

The Osprey
