>Jeff did an accurate job of summarizing the Canada Trip. Like to cherp in with a few other notes/observations.

1. For the first part of the week the boys were taking cold showers. No. It wasn't the result of Chick Island or Montreal. No Hot water in the cabin. We finally came to our senses and used the shower in the cabin next door which was vacant.

2. Jeff was accurate in my truck breaking the fan belt as soon as we left Joe's house. Truck just couldn't pull the boat, Joe's 48 pieces of luggage and 3 chins. Actually, we were fortunate we broke down there. If we were on 81 somewhere we might have lost a whole day.

3. What do you think of a Guy that holds a person hostage over a lure. Well that was what Jeff did. $10 bucks for a lure, a 100% markup. Probably my fault I should have brought Joe into the bidding, probably would've got a lower price.

4. Fishing was slow to start and picked up as the trip went on and finished hot near end. Probably had our best 1 day fishing on that Wednesday with Jeff banging the fish, me holding my own with a fish here and there, and Joe just holding his peter/rod. Joe hopefully learned for next year to get rid of that crappy spider wire line.

5. Montreal was a blast again. Man that town hops for a Monday night.

6. I relinquish the title of fisherking for the year to the Not-So-Thin-Man (NTSM). I think that added weight actually makes him set the hook better. Actually, Jeff claimed that he broke his rod while setting the hook on a fish. Can't verify it. All I saw is Jeff scratching his ass. I think he sat on it and broke it. That is the only reason I can come up with. But I will be back next year even more determine to recoup my crown.

6. All in All, I would have to say that this trip was one of my most enjoyable. The beer went down smooth. The weather was the best we ever had, and the sceenery was spectacular (not talking about Montreal), well maybe I am, come to think of it. But we were fortunate to have no rain, a full moon which made for unbelievable nights on the water, and temperatures in the upper 40's in the morning rising to the upper 70's during the day. Saw the most osprey we ever had on the lake, and the same for the beaver, (four legged variety). Can only hope for similar conditions next year.
