Subject: Canada Fishing Trip - The Untold Story

Joe and I both concede to George, aka the Osprey - Kingfisher, for his prowess last week in bringing in the most keeper fish last week in Canada. However, we would be remiss if we did not report all of the activities associated with last week's events. We do not contradict anything that George said, however, we would like to add a nugget.

It would have been more appropriate for the Osprey to entitle his message Canada Fishing/Hunting Trip. Since George was so incensed on coming in with the most fish, it happens that he got a bit "miffed" with outside interference in his quest. It just so happened that a seagull was bothering George (i.e., going after his bait and at one point diving into the water to get it) that George took matters into his own hands and went after said predator.

The Osprey picked up his other rod and proceeded to cast his lure at the gull. With the eye of a marksman, he proceeded to get his fishing line and lure wrapped around said gull and began reeling him in across the top of the water. Once realizing his mistake, the Osprey broke his line and left the gull to fend for itself. It is now the only bird on Lower Beverly Lake that owns a $6 piece ankle bracelet. He became so incensed with winning, that he went after one of his own.

Our fear is that next year when the border patrol says, "Any firearms?" we are going to have to answer yes since George may just shoot them to get rid of some of the competition. Maybe someday he will be able to be like Joe and I, just go for the fun, fish, and make sure to hit the girly bar!
