O.B. Thomas was married twice. Carrie Church was the first wife, Mary Moffat the second. A correction to Natalie's statement: Dave Thomas of Lamoni is descended from Mary, not Carrie, as am I (great grandson). The same is true of the Mortimores. My mother and Dave are sister and brother.
I think O.B. had five children by Carrie, and three by Mary.
Besides Natalie, around the Independence area are Van Riettes (Carrie), Blevins' (Carrie), and Smiths (Mary). There are probably others, as well.
