I am hoping that someone here may be able to help me. Apostle Arthur Alma Oakman was my dad's second cousin. When Apostle Oakman quoted having stolen an apple from his uncles farm as a young boy, that was my grandfather's farm in Enfield, Middlesex, England. He was a market gardener and had an apple orchard.

On researching my family tree I have discovered that his grandfather David Oakman and his great grandmother Mary Matilda Kemp used to hold meetings in their homes. I have also discovered that his sister Lily Oakman was the historian for the RDLS in England.

Can anyone give me anymore information on the early movement in the UK as I am doing a One Place Study of Enfield, Middlesex and I'd love nothing more than to have all this wonderful history included within my study. My family are ever so proud of Apostle Oakman.

I'd also love to hear from anyone that has any memories of him or his family that they'd love to share with us all. When my father was alive he always told us we had a big connection with the RLDS but it is only recently that I have discovered much of this information.
