well even though I should be avoiding caressa we had a decent discussion the other nite on a kinda controversial topic so thought Id see what steve and robin and everyone thought about it.

partial birth abortion was what we was talking about and how it is just plain cruel, its not killing a bunch of cells, but killing a breahing baby, usually 7 or 8 months along. As most probably know it is done by inducing labor and the doctor partially delivers the baby, they then stick scissors into the babys skull while it is awake, alert and able to feel pain, they then suck the brains of the baby out and deliver the rest of the now dead baby. Ironic thing is if a mother who is 7 or 8 months pregnant would do something to kill her baby she can be charged with murder, or if someone kills her and the baby dies they can be charged with two counts of murder, but when done in a "clinic" it's legal and I think that is just wrong. Also on the same lines, several states have passed laws to outlaw late term abortions but the federal courts strike them down, as of now Missouri's law is in federal court and Jay Nixon, the attourney general is going to argue that the law was passed by MO senate and house, and signed by Carnahan, the governor so he is arging the federal courts do not have the jurisdiction to overrule a state law that the governor signed.
