Subject: One last comment about religion fading out.....

I know people don't want to talk about religion, but for one sec, lets look at the beginnings of time... people have always pondered the questions such as where we came from, where are we going... etc.. etc...etc... now, shamanism was one of the first organised religions that started back then, basing beliefs on spirits and what not.. however, throughout history, religion has always popped up... people always need something to believe in to satisfy those questions in thier mind.. and for someone to say religion will fade, is just plain silly... as long as people keep going to churches and to temples and believing what they believe, there will always be religion... now, what people believe in might change over the years, but its human nature to believe in some type of greater power... of course there are those that don't... but they do not make up the majority of the world... if you look at India and China (the 2 larges populations in the world) there are a lot of religious people in those 2 cultures... to say That Many Billions of people are just going to stop believing in some form of religion is ludicrous... no matter how much one can prove scientifically, its hard to change person(s) views if the believe very strongly in thier religion... now, you can say religion will fade out of the main stream light.. but that day will not come for a long time.... try going to a southern baptists convention and showing them scientific proof that there is no god... I highly doubt they will believe you... go to Mecca, and tell all the Islamic people that Mouhammed never existed and that thier Koran is false... see how quickly they jump on the athiest band wagon... go to a Temple in the South East Asian lands and tell the Buddhist monks that Buddah does not exist and that science can prove it... see how many of them turn thier backs on thier religions... people are stubborn, not everyone is on the same intellectual level... there are those that are sheep, and those that are leaders... but all in all, people have always believed in some sort of religion... The Romans, Greeks, Egyptians... they all believed in thier gods and what not... so religion will never fade... it will always linger around... ideas may change...we may see some sort of technological religion forming... but there will always be forms of religion out there....
