You talk about the need for individuals to be feel responsible and contribute in serving their country in some way. The republican party platform won't even let me serve in the military or support my running as a republican canidate for a plublic office. Sure they will if I just keep the fact that I am gay or won't bring up gay issues and hopefully stay in the closet. At least the Democrats have come around enough to open the door and will agknoledge us so that we can participate and contribute to make changes and serve our country recognizing who we are.
